Scar has ended up stuck in Avantris. Grian can kind of sort of reach him, Scar can tell because he can Feel Eyes Watching him. Anyways! He'll make it home no problem! Just need to find an artifact that will let him eat the magic of this dimension/universe properly so he can then use said magic to pass through the dimensional barrier and head back to minecraft! Easy enough! And wow, helpfully a ghost train has just shown up to assist him on his quest, and Grian has used his Watcher magic to spawn a ticket in Scar's pocket. Excellent! Nothing could possibly go wrong from here!

Summary
At school, Russia and America are bitter enemies. They can't pass each other in the hallway without throwing around some nasty words, and they're the worst part of each other's day.
Online, the two of the bond under pseudonyms in a video game called "The Shiners." America, under the username "get_him_back!" and the alias "Stars," shows a dramatic, cheerful side of himself that Russia in real life never knew. "Rise," or Russia - username "theresvodkainthecloset" - is revealed to be sweet, attentive, and a calm kind of fun unlike the bitchy, sarcastic way he treats America at school. They know everything about each other, except their names, and they're quickly best friends... maybe more? In any case, they fight in real life and patch each other up online, and all seems like it's worth it.
Anonymously, Russia and America provide each other with both perspectives of their fight, and in real life start to argue less due to slowly falling for the other online. But halfway to recovery, "Stars" and "Rise" decide to meet in person, and their double lives are no more. They have to choose: love or fight? Will the merging of online and real life finally fix their relationship, or will it throw everything down the drain?

Grian is a detective on the Hermitopia police force and is in charge of looking into any cold cases that are given his way. He is the only human in the whole police force but he doesn’t let that interfere with his work. He is rather proud of his work and he loves the challenges that come with cracking old cold cases.
One day, he is approached by the Chief Inspector regarding a series of missing person reports from twenty years ago. While he is hesitant at first, he soon learns that there is a possibility that the missing person reports are related to the most infamous serial killer that the police are tracking.
The Ringmaster.
Now Grian must go undercover in the small town of Oakhurst to find the connection between the missing person reports and The Ringmaster. Will he be able to find the connection in time? Or will he become a part of something far darker?
