It’s honourable work, or so she tells herself, serving the temple of Morpheus. Most of the priests’ work is by night so her work as a temple steward is by day. Some days she sweeps the floors, refills the braziers, or clears out the old ash. Most days though, she’s down here by the river, washing sheets and blankets and robes and whatever else is needing laundering. She doesn’t mind it. This section of river is quiet and slow, further from town and closer to the temple, so she’s often alone. Just her and the herons, the ravens when they see themselves fit to visit, and the cattails. It's peaceful. It gives her plenty of time to dream.

Yeah. Me neither.
Nevertheless, this is Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief. Without Percy.
Jason’s there though. He currently believes he’s an unclaimed son of Athena and he’s lived at Camp Half-Blood with Annabeth since he was seven.
No one’s told Jason that he’s the very last Prince of Rome. As far as he’s aware, the dead daughter of Zeus is the only forbidden kid around. Octavian, Jason’s ‘ally’, is just another unclaimed kid who people are fairly sure is a son of Hermes.
Unfortunately, the Greek gods don’t care about how any mortal feels. And Jason is about to find himself at the centre of multiple layers of intrigue and scandal as the gods face a divine world in cataclysm.
Few know that Jason was raised by a wolf. Everyone knows that he bites when provoked.
In short order, Jason is claimed by a god he never expected, named champion by another, and forced on a quest he never wanted to do.
The world is not what he thought.
The gods aren’t either.
If Jason wants to live, he’ll have to play along.
