If you were to ask Frank Castle, he'd say that Evangeline Winters was spoiled and downright pretentious. She was the kind of woman that expected her every need brought to her before she ever had to voice it and, like a fool, Frank did it in a heartbeat. He wasn't sure why he couldn't refuse her. Over the year he'd been working closely behind her, he realised she seemed to have her own gravitational pull, one that yanked him in closer than was considered professional. But he wouldn't break protocol. No matter how much he desired to.
Evangeline Winters found Frank Castle to be rather arrogant. At first, he'd frowned too much, rarely smiling, especially in her presence, and was very simply no fun. She'd tried not to let his uptight ways infiltrate her own life but Frank followed his rules right down to the last dot of punctuation on his contract. She didn't enjoy that this particular infuriating trait of his had become just another thing she found so admirable on the man. He needed to give in some time. Live a little.
The thought was almost laughable. Like that'd ever happen. He kept control in his firm, unyielding grip and nothing, no one, would be able to change that. At least, that's what he told himself.
