Danny is thrown into an alternative dimension where she has to help Lady Gotham's Knights eradicate the rottenness that has plagued Gotham city for centuries especially now that the Rot is minutes away from imploding. To do so she has to balance being a cafe owner, be Queen of Ghost, and manage passing off as wholly human once more. In this journey she will go up against her ghosts but also the rogue gallery, both as a civilian and her alternate self.

This is my second original fictional work on AO3.
Unlike my previous original fictional work, 'Humans Are Crazy! (A Humans Are Space Orcs Redditverse Series)', this one is something that I have wanted to write for some time even before I created a whole science fiction story by accident. (Relevant Link: https://ao3-rd-8.onrender.com/works/64851736/chapters/166674670)
This story will include concepts that some would probably deem as rather cliche at this point of time: 'isekai', 'dungeon building', 'being reborn as a slime' and so forth.
That being said, I hope that I can bring in an interesting spin to the idea of building a dungeon as this will focus more on creating a literal ecosystem not unlike a certain manga called 'Dungeon Meshi'. Yes, it will involve "genetically altering" the local monsters with magic.
As for why I am rating this story for mature, it is for safety reasons as I cannot guarantee that sex and violence will not be present even if they are not the main focus of the story.

This is a story I am writing because I wasn't really ready to let go of a character I played and I really wasn't ready to let go of one of the npcs my dm introduced us to during our last campaign.
I also like mind flayers, especially when they turn out to be good. and I appreciate my dm for letting me write this using her npc and their backstory. In honour of her I have also included the character Steren.Series

“I don’t sense any survivors. The team has checked every building.” A voice belonging to Phantom, the #1 hero.
“Have you checked the cave behind the portal, Phantom?” The voice said.
That was the only reason why Gem survived. The cave was well hidden. Hidden enough that the monster didn’t even notice her breathing or her heartbeat.
Gem jumped when the leaves were pushed aside and threw her dagger at the intruder on instinct, just barely missing. The dagger Grian gave her.
“Damn… you have good aim. I’m going to ask Kuna about giving you a spot in the Milita.” Phantom muttered, barely dodging the dagger. “Where’s your parents?”
”Dead.” Gem’s voice was hard. “I don’t want to join the Milita anyway. They failed to save the village.”
Phantom raised an eyebrow, “No family at all? Aunts? Uncles? Siblings?”
Something compelled Gem to answer honestly.
