Last week, recently-bereaved Roger Murray and his daughter Poppy moved to Scotland. Today it is time for Poppy to start at her new primary school. Neither she nor Roger are entirely in their element yet, and both are grieving the loss of their husband/father, Art. But Poppy's new teacher, Mr Smith, seems like he might be the sort of fellow who could really help some New Scots settle into life in the small rural town of Tayburn.
