Summary
England, America, and Japan (or Arthur, Alfred, and Kiku, as they are sometimes called) decide to go back to America’s house via magic instead of buying plane tickets. The spell goes wrong and no one realizes until it’s too late and they are now… in the USA? As it turns out, the spell failed successfully and while they are now in Washington DC, it’s not the DC they know. Now, with no known way to get back, the three have to deal with the latest problem in a series of many: trying to navigate Samuel Washington and Mary Calvert’s house’s fucked up floor plan.
(Seriously, who designed this place!? Oh wait, I did…)
Oh, and they have to deal with the chaos that seems to follow the group of 51 people, a cat, and a seeing-eye dog, all who come from different states. Almost as if they are Representing those states and the US as a whole. -

New River follows several different ordinary people all in the continent of Xisanium, where the North Kingdom of Dustrius has tensions brewing with the Southern Kingdom of Domain. The Borderlands between them, once considered a neutral ground, are being forced to choose sides. Oceanfolk, people who live on the sea, are between it all, being hated by Domain but unwelcome in Dustrius. Magic is permitted, even encouraged in Dustrius, though Domain bans it entirely, and use of magic may be punishable by death.

Latest World News: The Adwenian Global Commonwealth (AGC) got to a busy start, settling conflicts and enacting trade sanctions. One of their earliest big moments was their handling of Geonia's systematic lack of workers' rights; assembly arguments were split between weighing the moral duty to condemn the treatment vs the economic fallout from Geonian exports being cut out of global supply chains.
