It is a story that, admittedly, shows Valeris being guilty of similar actions to Spock’s. It’s an AU. I have, reluctantly, had a story about trauma for Spock, in regard to some of Sybok’s ideas, in my mind for some time now.
I fear I should not have written this story, and that, in real life, I may have let a loved one with similar trauma, down.
I haven’t given this story a rape or non-con warning because it doesn’t actually show or discuss real life rape.

While McCoy worked, he kept one hand at the nape of Kirk's neck, carefully turning his head this way and that, making sure to pass the dermal regenerator over every bruise and scrape. McCoy allowed his thoughts to drift. He felt almost breathless himself with the lump in his throat, his clenching heart and heavy bones. His friend was almost choked to death, seeking what? Fun? Distraction? An adrenaline high? Well, not on his watch.
