Right as she was about to walk out the door, a low hum started. Gem turned back towards The Book, now glowing purple, on its lectern. She watched as it opened, pages flipping wildly, coming to rest on a pair of pages covered in text that glowed the same vibrant purple as The Book had. Gem walked towards the lectern in a daze, feeling drawn in by an inexplicable force. Soon she could make out what the brightest text said.

Wait… was that Galactic? That was the language the Watchers spoke! How was she reading it?! Gem needed to get out of here, ASAP. Unfortunately for her, her body seemed to have other plans, and those plans did not seem to include escaping. Without her command, her hand reached out and touched the page.Gem goes in search of answers for why the Watchers started their twisted games. She finds more than she expected when she stumbles on a book claiming that she’s something called ‘the Historian.’ Gem suddenly finds herself pulled into a crazy story filled with different versions of her friends. Soon she can’t tell what's real and what's just the book, leaving her terrified of everyone. Can she become the Historian without losing herself to The Book?

Summary
Grian had been running for what felt like hours, gliding through the deep void in an attempt to escape the Watchers.
After finally finding a server to hide in he quickly realises that it was, in fact, not abandoned as he had assumed.When Xisuma went to check the new Hermitcraft Server he saw an intruder hack into it - quite literally.
Though it quickly turns out that the intruder was more a fugitive, running away from the very monsters the admin hated with his entire being.Walking a thin line between truth and lie Grian tries his best to cling to the new safe haven to heal up and hide from his captors, making more connections than he had preferred.
Sadly the Watchers had their own plans with their little disobedient experiment. -

Grian really hated this job. If he could have left it behind, he would have, but since he helped create these blasted permits, he was stuck enforcing their arbitrary rules. As Grian was sitting, his mind wandered and he wondered if there's something he should know.
He honestly felt as if he was missing something about himself, something that could explain why he always longs to be free, the wings stuck to his back, his lack of memory of anything before this blasted world… There must be something else out there, right? Grian’s friends all talked about the past worlds… but he couldn’t remember any of them, which concerned X.Grian works at the Permit Office, no memory of how he ended up there. Gem was captured by the Watchers, and longs to go home. They both hate their lives, but little do they know, they’re each the answer to the other’s problems.

The light shined on their mask, a gentle lull teasing at them from the tear in reality. A roar reached their ears; the Watchers were after them.
A broken thought pushed it's way through the stuffing plaguing their mind, the impulse to run. They beat their wings harder, anxiety and anticipation fueling them. It wasn't enough.
"Ϟᒣᒍi! ▭ ∷⚍リリ╎リ┤․⎽ ▭ ̇/ᒷ|:ᑑ⚍ᖋ." Stop running, Xelqua.
Faster. They had to be faster. The Watchers were catching up. They— They were right there—
An inhuman screech erupted out of what was left of the creature's voice box as claws tore through a limb, something towards their rear end. They didn't know which one. It didn't matter. The Watchers behind them didn't matter. They just had to keep going.
