Mermin, first of all, is extremely old, now obsolete terminology for creatures currently called merfolk (inclusive of mermaids and mermen).
It is specifically used for the half fish, half human looking creature that uses their singing as bait.On this coast, the term has survived the years.
It is, in fact, still used by the paranoid people of Hermit Harbour to refer to this specific myth of theirs.
Although they never as much utter a word about the beings, it is the most notable myth in town.

An acolyte ranked Watcher with dreams of being a scout, he is taking an important exam in his training to be one. His goal: enter another dimension, he was assigned the overworld, and make it to an extraction point.
The rift between the two dimensions was unstable, and he ended up plummeting into the ground in the wrong location.These worlds collide as children make way for the start of new relationships between dimensions.

Out in the wilds, between forgotten towns, you can find things long turned to myths. Deities forsaken, beings that look human but have eyes too bright, voices too charming. There in the mirages you can find in-between lands with ghosts and memories alike, some more vivid than your own mind. You can be driven insane in those lands, or you can thrive and become a myth of your own.
There are legends that speak of a group of bandits who roam the savannas and deserts of western Terra. Some tell that they are criminals, outlaws who wreak destruction and leave death in their wake. Others will tell you that they are heroes of old, gods come down to earth. Still others will smile knowingly, tell you it is up to you to decide what you think. These people often know more than they let on.
What does it take to be a Hunter? Wits or strength are useful, of course, but Pearl knows it's not quite so simple. Every Hunter has a motivation. When will it be that she gains hers? Perhaps much, much sooner than she expects. The only thing is- she doesn't know if she'll be ready.

After the falls of the Hermit Empire, the new, independent kingdom of Rivendell disconnects themselves from their fantasy-creature counterparts. False, one of the twin princesses of Rivendell, was never told why. Much less told about any of the horrendous crimes her people commit to others.
Ren is a now homeless, poor werewolf who travels with his family to live. With his brother Jono to help him, they have to steal to keep their family alive and well, while also fighting the oppression of Rivendell.

False heard the door of her kitchen open and close. She turned around and there stood Ren, sopping wet, looking absolutely pathetic.
“Ren!” She groaned and set the bowl of popcorn down on the counter.
“It’s absolutely storming out there, my dude!” He exclaimed.
“Well yeah, I can see that. I have eyes! But it would’ve been helpful if you didn’t tread mud everywhere and get my floors wet!” False yelled, her voice getting gradually more high-pitched as she spoke. She sighed, dragging Ren over to one of the dining table chairs and forcing him to sit down. She took off his boots and grabbed a hair dryer, made him stand up again and started blow-drying his hair and clothes. She grinned when Ren pinned his ears back against his head as a way to block out the noise. His hair looked like drowned rat tails. His whole demeanour screamed ‘wet cat’ or, I guess, wet dog, in his case.
