Summary
This is AU, branching off from Sam being bombed out in September 1940 in Fifty Ships. Sam needs somewhere to go, Foyle supposes it will be all right if she stays at his place for a couple of days. And it IS all right - isn't it?
Sam and Foyle romance - don't like, don't read etc. There may be a slight plot but really this is about them. Probably Sam is a little bit OOC, I've tweaked a few things to fit what I wanted, life isn't perfect. Trying hard to get the voices right, Foyle's manner is my favourite.
Love the 1940s idiom and the general make do and mend attitude of the era. Apologies in advance for any terrible anachronisms, my knowledge is based on Being British and a lifetime of exposure to all this old wartime stuff.
