He’s egg actually appeared in Wife-Plot n 888. He was a dragon egg that was found with Xin Mo and afterwards gifted to Wife 888, a priest of Dragons that exists no more after the Wars with Heavenly Demons and Dragons.
Shen Yuan thought that the egg had so much potential, but obviously the good plot was forsaken for the papapa with the beautiful priest.
So, the never born egg actually hatched and snatched the System from the chariot of fate. It became SY’s ally and companion that will help him to live an easy life.He actually had lived a easy life for centuries: he founded a city, adopted some cuties, took care of some world ending problems, made powerful friends, had some sexual revelations and when he was bored he just wiped out his memories and began from zero.

Shen Yuan transmigrates, into a world he is told is based on Proud Immortal Demon Way, the crappy Xianxia stallion novel he'd been reading before his death.
The keywords there were 'based on,' which he missed completely, when he decided to hide in a cave for 300 years and cultivate. After all, he's got no interest in being killed by the protagonist. Better to just wait for him to die out or ascend, and come out after the fact.
Except, when the System dumps him out into the world, he learns two horrifying truths: the first, the protagonist is very much alive, and is, in fact, a teenager still.
The second?
The world he's in isn't Xianxia at all. It's a Wuxia world.(Very loosely based on the premise of 'Finding out it's a Wuxia world after cultivating for 300 years,' a web novel I thought sounded cool but never actually read, and thus is not really that relevant for anything but core premise.)

Shen Yuan feels numb. It's not really new, so he isn't quite worried at first. Emphasize on the first because as he regains his consciousness he feels like instead of his comfy hospital bed filled with more pillows than should actually fit he's on very hard rocks, he's also rather sure it's been way too long for him to be on anesthietics.
Opening his eyes turns out be the wrongest idea ever because fuck knows why there's a gigantic black toad in front of him, staring into his soul. Part of Shen Yuan almost wants to go back to whatever drugs he was on, another part is solely focused on the pearl white very miniscule triangle under the toad's right eyes.
OR:
Shen Yuan is swiped right under his toes into a life or death situation that's totally not because I don't do well with writing should be surprising realizations, survives(fucking somehow), system gives him some medicine that was kindly demanded, Shen Yuan isn't fit to stay in one place (the abyss), ventures, figures he's like- way too before the plot of PIDW, cheers, becomes powerful. All in probably not order, I'll figure that later.
