Michael hates the way Adam twists in bed this way and the other as a way to finish waking up in the mornings; but not as much as he hates him going to sleep because then all he can do is stare, he hates it when his eyes catch the light and shine blue like his favourite colour, he hates the intoxicating scent of his shampoo and he totally hates when he crosses his arms in thought and leaves him no choice but to hold him close and whisper sweet nothings against his temple. He hates that thanks to Adam he now uses words like ‘nothing’ to refer to something.
