Adam flips over, his head pounding. It’s not an uncommon occurrence since he usually doesn’t get to eat much since money has been tight for a few months. So he ignores it, and climbs out of bed. His vision starts to tilt, but he forces himself upright.
I think I need some water.
He stumbles out of his room, moving towards the kitchen. He gets himself a glass of water, and sits down at the table. He only has a few minutes before he needs to get going to school, but he’s a little worried that if he gets up, he’s going to fall immediately. It’s quiet in the apartment meaning Kate is either asleep after the night shift, or she’s at work for an early shift. Adam finishes his glass with a sigh.
