It all started the way the best things always seem to: with a DnD game.
A group of kids, a cramped basement, and a desperate Dungeons & Dragons side quest that turns into something ridiculous: forming a band to survive a tavern they can’t afford. It’s messy, chaotic, and completely unserious, until it isn’t.
Years later, The Party isn’t just a game anymore. It’s late-night practices in cluttered garages, scribbled lyrics passed between friends, and a sound that somehow holds them all together. And then, just as they’re starting to figure out who they are, everything changes.
A record deal. A chance to leave their small town behind. A future that suddenly feels too big, too real, and dangerously fragile. How will The Party deal with their new found fame, and can Will survive being in a world renowned band with his best friend turned crush?

Summary
Eighteen months have passed since El's death and the Party is still coping with the loss of their hero. As the town returns to some semblance of normalcy after years of panic, the Party tries to regroup and enjoy one last summer together before separating and going off to college all over the country. Will starts a summer job at a country club just outside of Hawkins and strikes up an unlikely connection that leaves him on the outs with the Party. One final summer together, but will Will choose the safety and comfort he's used to or the risk and excitement of something new?
