Basically, I decided if the Crewniverse isn't going to tell us what happened between Steven's de-corruption and the day he leaves on his road trip, I'll do it myself. Then I also wanted to write Connie and Steven's first kiss because their first on-screen kiss couldn't have been their first real kiss. So, I decided, why not do it all at once!
