He isn’t a character in a storybook, however, and the heightened security Sir Hajime had previously spoken of, he’s just realizing, was primarily meant to keep Keiji within the walls rather than any danger out.
By force of habit, he shuffles back into the cranny. Pulls his cloak tighter around himself and hunches his shoulders in preparation of being dragged out of his hiding place by some overly zealous knight sent to find him like a trained bloodhound.
That is, until he hears a familiar giggle.
Tooru laughs loudly when Sir Hajime grabs his wrist. Tugs him back towards his sturdy body, the mage’s back hitting his chest, and drags his lips along his soft shoulder, up the side of his throat and across his jaw before guiding their mouths together.
