"I miss being Hawks," he began slowly. The words were halted and hesitant, like he was trying to figure out how to word his thoughts. "And I miss being a hero. Number 2, though… I never really cared about what rank I was. I could have been Number 1 or Number 500 for all I cared. I liked the helping people, the doing good… not so much the popularity contest aspect. Being a hero wasn't about being ranked. It was about saving people."
Touya opened his mouth to say something. Then thought better of it. Then opened his mouth again.

Here.” Dew wrapped his arms around Rain and held him close to his chest before slowly sitting up, bringing Rain up with him. “Lemme take you to the bathroom. You can get cleaned up and all, but I’ll bring you a change of clothes.”

Zero didn't have heat intolerance in the typical sense, no. They had no blood to dehydrate, or flesh to dry out. Instead, they had circuitry that required specific temperatures to function, much like any other machine. There were cooling systems in place to allow them more leverage, but even those had limits when it came to extremes.
OR
Zero_One suffers a shutdown from heat exposure after a show, Rust and Tesla take care of them.

When they find a way to make their avatars look like their human selves, everyone's happy to look human again, but that doesn't mean they love everything about their bodies.
(I plan to get into everyone's feelings about their bodies, but this is going to be mostly focus on Zooble's dysphoria, abstragedy's relationship because I love them, and on transfem Jax because I'm 1000% percent on the transfem Jax train. The later chapters especially are gonna be mainly transfem Jax. This is mostly a transfem Jax fic, the other stuff is just sprinkled in for flavor and variety and because I love them.)
[EDIT: this was mostly written before episode nine, so it uses my human designs rather than the canon ones. I don’t wanna go back through all the descriptions and retcon it.]
