Summary
It’s your birthday, but The Pitt doesn’t slow down for that. Between subway accidents, drownings, shootings, and the quiet heartbreak of patients who come back again and again, you do your best to keep your hands steady and your head clear. Somewhere in the blur of alarms and blood, you realize you’re holding onto something you shouldn’t—feelings for your quietly grieving chief attending. At The Pitt, you don’t just learn how to save lives.
You learn how hard it is to ignore your own heart.

Summary
The strange woman hands him the file she'd been carrying.
Dennis opens the folder and squints down at the pages. The man wasn't even thirty yet, and he already read everything like he was ninety.
"I want a divorce."
Dennis looks back up at her.
"Okay. Sure. Do you have a pen?"
Dana's mouth drops open.
__
Or: A beautiful woman walks in to the ER and asks Dennis 'looks like a wet kitten' Whitaker for a divorce and Dennis.... does not care. The rest, they say, is fucking speculation. -

Summary
Then: A younger Spider-Man is trapped in a collapsed building with a handsome older doctor who tells him he can change the world with or without powers.
Now: MS4 Dennis Whitaker has officially hung up his mask and spandex in order to train under Dr. Robby at PTMC, not realizing their day together years ago meant as much to the older man as it did to him. Then, during the PittFest MCI, Robby breaks down and blames Dennis/Spider-Man for not stopping it.
Among the horrors of the ED, super-hero life, and, well, the United States, a spark ignites between Dennis and Robby. But how will these two momentous events shape the men and their relationship?
– or –
Dennis is Spider-Man. This is really messing with his residency hours (and Dr. Robinavitch’s blood pressure).

Summary
Dr. Eleanor "Nell" Carver is one of the senior residents in Pittsburgh's busiest ER . Relentlessly capable, and far better at saving other people than taking care of herself. Between endless night shifts, traumatic cases, and the quiet exhaustion of her own treatment, Nell is trying to hold together a life that never seems to slow down long enough for her to breathe.
The one constant in the chaos is Dr. Jack Abbot - the attending physician who knows exactly when to push, when to stay quiet, and when to simply stand beside her. Their relationship is steady, private in all the ways that matter, and built in the spaces between ambulance sirens.
But while Nell spends her shifts fighting for strangers, the people closest to her are struggling too. Her younger sister, Lois - the hospital's head chef - is trying to keep everyone fed while pretending she doesn't need looking after herself. And Nell's best friend Frank Langdon, freshly separated and emotionally unravelling beneath it all, finds himself unexpectedly drawn toward Lois in the middle of the hospital chaos.

Summary
Whether it’s destiny or codependent trauma bonding, it’s clear that Robby and Whitaker are meant for each other—despite the world, logic and the odds against them. So the question isn’t whether they’ll be happy, but for how long. After all, where there’s light, darkness is never far behind, and the universe likes to play its own wicked game.
Or: What if Whitaker and Robby had gotten together before his sabbatical, and what if that had completely changed the course of their lives?

Summary
Jack was running his hands through Robby’s hair, every once in a while nodding as Robby talked about his struggles of this day. He understood Robby, much better than everyone else at work or any of his three friends.
---
Robby has a rough day and it happens to be the anniversary of his grandmother's death, and Jack does his best to comfort his lover.

Summary
“M’not a fucking kid!” Dennis spits.“Stop fucking calling me that.”
On the offensive, and unable to stop, Robby bites back: “Then stop fucking acting like one!”
Dennis slumps back into his chair, seceding silently, eyes glossing. Robby pinches the bridge of his nose in frustration.
“Jesus, I— Forget it. I can’t talk to you when you’re like this.” Robby tells him, pulling his jacket from the back of his chair. “Go home, delete our chat history. This never happened. Don’t ever tell a soul about this.”
Dennis laughs mirthlessly.
Robby is not amused. He zips up his jacket and leans down a little closer to the boy.
“I’m not fucking around, Whitaker. This stays between us. You need to take this to your grave.”
or:
After a particularly prolonged dry spell, Dennis Whitaker decides to redownload Grindr. He doesn't realize the charming, anonymous, older man he's matched with is his Senior Attending until after they've already gone through a week of digital foreplay. Everything's a lot easier when you can't put a face to a name — or a name to a profile — isn't it?

When Mel King writes Frank Langdon a letter in rehab, neither of them expect the communication to result in anything. They couldn’t be more wrong.
Takes place between season one and season two -- diverges from the canon!

“So what’s up with you and Victoria?” The two said not wasting any time with useless small talk and Trinity couldn’t help but roll her eyes at that. She glanced around and saw that no one nearby would get on her ass for talking so she leaned in and lowered her voice as she began to explain to them what has occurred in the past couple of months.
OrThe story of how Trinity and Victoria got together

Summary
Dr. Livia Brigid Moretti has built her life around listening.
As the staff psychologist at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, she helps patients, families, and physicians navigate the aftermath of the worst days of their lives. She knows how to recognize grief, burnout, and the quiet warning signs that someone is struggling.
Then she meets Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch.
What begins as a professional acquaintance soon becomes an unexpected friendship, and eventually something neither of them planned for. As they grow closer, Livia finds herself confronting the uncomfortable truth that understanding the human mind is far easier than understanding her own.
Surrounded by a family that loves her, friends who trust her, and colleagues who rely on her, Livia has become an expert at convincing everyone, including herself, that she's fine.
But even the people who spend their lives saving others can't always recognize when someone they love is quietly falling apart.

Summary
It’s interesting, in a strange way. How someone’s life can change with a single decision: a new job move, trying a new coffee shop, reaching out to people, speaking up, staying silent, sticking with the known, trying something new, life experiences, death. Every second, every decision, every moment, our lives are changing. For better or worse, forever, for everyone, it’s interesting.
Your day started with the new job, officially a doctor, an intern at The Pitt.
It started with a nervous excitement buzzing beneath every breath. It ended, of course, in blood.
Fortunately, it wasn’t yours.
Fortunately, you weren’t alone.
Fortunately, tomorrow still exists.
At least you hope.

Summary
Faking an accent was still easier than faking a whole entire personality, though. Dennis Whitaker was soft spoken, anxious all the time, he made himself look small. Vladimir Dracula, on the other hand? The last time he made himself look small was when he was a twelve year old kid.
OR: Dennis Whitaker is a vampire, and his real name is Vladimir Dracula. He's moved from the UK, became a doctor and now works at PTMC. Everything is just fine, no one suspects a thing. But of course it all goes to shit, because of one small trick and his roommate walking into his room when she shouldn't. Oh, and apparently most of his coworkers are werewolves. Awesome.
OR: Another Young Dracula/The Pitt fusion because THERE'S NEVER ENOUGH and I love Young Dracula

Summary
“Is it weird—” Trinity’s voice is loud. Obtrusive. She hates it, hates how awkward this feels, “—that I call you Garcia in bed?”
As much as she can, Garcia shrugs. “I don’t think so.” Her fingers sift through the cereal, dry clinks echoing in their wake. “It’s not like this is serious or anything. Just…” she trails off, then shrugs again.
Colors bleed together, water flows, and excitement melts into exhaustion.
“Right,” Trinity says. She manages a forced laugh. “Right, of course.”
OR: The one in which working in an ER is exhausting and so, too, is figuring out where one stands with their lets keep it casual hookup. But life keeps churning, lives keep slipping away, and Trinity really needs to know if she's actually straight-passing or if everyone around her just has a horrible gaydar.

Robby rubbed his hands over his face, the glass of his watch flashing as it caught the light. “I fall asleep during the game, or what?”
Jack considered his options:
- You had an episode.
- I busted into your apartment thinking you’d killed yourself but instead you were acting like a little kid. Ever gotten your head checked, Robinavitch?
- That sure was fucked up. Anyways, gotta jet.“Uh,” he said.
—
Robby experiences involuntary age regression after Pitffest. Jack Abbot— god help him— knows exactly what to do.
