Yelena's frown deepens. "What? Why."
Or: Bob Reynolds has a plan. The plan is simple: identify the exact mechanisms of his catastrophic crush on John Walker and dismantle them systematically before anyone gets hurt, least of all himself.
The plan survives approximately one bookstore visit, one unsolicited phone number, and one dinner table where he gets one of the infamous bouts of stubborn confidence and makes it everyone's problem while maintaining direct eye contact with the subject of said crush.

But more importantly, who are all these people that seem so set on making sure he is ok? He's fine. Completely fine. Even if the voices are getting worse and he feels a bit like he is breaking. He'll be fine, he just needs to get Jason home. Then everyone can be normal again.

Despite knowing, it doesn’t make you prepared to meet Bob, or Yelena or any of them, and it’s strange to have hope bloom within your chest. Hopefully you’ll all make it out of this. Hopefully the hope can grow into something more and not lie rotting in the ash.

She moves to San Francisco and opens a second Bishop Security firm there. Kate tries a lot to get Yelena out of her head, but the blonde is just not leaving. Kate moves back to New York and then back to San Francisco.
Kate was close to forgetting that the blonde existed when she turned up on her TV Screen walking into a black dust coming from a Void in human form and then she is gone and Kate is panicking.
