Summary
Spock could sense the Captain's worry radiating from somewhere to his left and several decks above him, as well as the doctor’s, only a room away, which was excessively potent from the closer proximity (and due to McCoy's natural caring tendencies).
Try as he did to rationalize it, to tell himself their concern meant nothing to him, that it was illogical, he could not help but appreciate them.
Or: The triumvirate investigate a planet in hopes of it being suitable for shore leave. Unfortunately, Spock does something stupid and gets injured. Leonard, Jim, and Spock face their feelings for each other throughout the whole ordeal and finally work things out enough to get together (following a brief rescue mission for Spock, after his ‘something stupid’).

"Elevated heart rate and body temperature, rapid breathing, excessive perspiration," he began, as Spock undid the fly of Jim's pants. Their captain gasped deeply as cool air hit his swollen erection, the leaking slit peeking out from the foreskin so red it was nearly purple. McCoy's cunt throbbed even as his heart twisted at the pain Jim must have been in.
"It's an aphrodisiac, Spock."
During a diplomatic mission to a planet of fox-like humanoids, Jim ends up accidentally drugged and extremely horny. Thankfully, Bones and Spock are there to help him through it.

Their shared goal: to reunify the remaining members of both races and resettle on the Vulcan homeworld, which has been renamed Ni’Var. However, not all of the Romulan survivors support the reunification efforts, and if the recent terrorist attack on Starbase 157 is anything to go by…not all of the Romulan survivors support peace between Terrans and what remains of the once-great Romulan Empire.
This is a direct sequel to The Survivor’s Guide to Hungry Ghosts. It is not a stand-alone story.

“Spock,” Jim echoed, the name (or title, perhaps) settling on his tongue as though it belonged there.
“You’re not from around here, are ya, Spock?” Bones said dryly.
Spock just lifted a condescending eyebrow at him.
Or: Teenage Spock steals a shuttle from his parents’ science ship to go do some sightseeing and accidentally crash lands on Earth. Jim and Bones witness his crash and try to do anything they can to help him. But along the way, they all become a little more attached to each other than they’d intended…

Summary
With the way Jim lived his life, he had gotten very good at pretending to be okay.
He had to have, of course. There weren't too many people that he encountered in his life that seemed to have given a shit about his wellbeing, not until after he enrolled in Starfleet.
Captain Pike. Bones. Gaila, may she rest in peace. Eventually Spock and Uhura, then his senior officers, and maybe even the rest of the Enterprise crew...

Chris lay still for a moment, listening.
One snore was deep, rumbling, and familiar—the kind that vibrated slightly through the mattress. Phil. Predictable. Reliable. Sounded like a warp core settling in for the night.
The other—
Chris turned his head slightly and blinked.
Leonard McCoy was sprawled on his side next to Phil, one arm flung over a pillow, mouth slightly open, producing a sharp, offended little snort every few seconds—like sleep itself had personally insulted him and he was protesting.
Chris bit his lip to keep from laughing.
“Well I’ll be damned,” he murmured under his breath. “He does sleep.”
Phil snored louder, as if in agreement.
Chris shifted his gaze downward.
Jim was awake.
(Leonard and Jim are kids and survivors of Tarsus IV… Chris and Phil took in two very traumatized, feral boys… what the hell could possibly go wrong?? Oh… right… Klingons… and emotions.)
