Its entire surface was glassed to oblivion and it has been a no fly zone ever since.

His casual smile drops and his shoulders slump almost immediately after seeing my face. If I had any shame left, it might dissuade me from dropping myself down onto the stool next to him.
“Sapporo,” I shout to the bartender.
I study Shinsou out of the corner of my eye. His messy lavender hair looks the same as it did back in UA, albeit with less volume (or more likely, less hair gel). It flops over his forehead, grazing dark purple eyebrows. His hair looks softer like this, in stark contrast with his sharpened facial features. The dark circles under his eyes look like they've deepened with age.
The tall glass is placed down in front of me, beer foam sliding over the sides onto the bartop. Shinsou watches me chug down half the glass, his expression a mix between boredom and revulsion. I knock my knee against his in greeting, earning me an indigo glare. “Shinsou,” I say cheerfully,“long time no see.” Eight years and three months, to be exact, but who's counting?
--"Midoriya," he sighs, "did you really lose your job at the agency? That's— what happened?"
I tilt my head slightly to look back at him. "No."
His relief is short-lived.
"I quit."

"You can't say that!" I hiss, my eyes narrowing. "They're God's people!"
But she continues to sew doubt. "What proof have they ever offered that they actually speak for God? That they speak for anyone?" It's a sentiment she has pushed many times before.
I frown, though the Bliss inside me is already hard at work tempering my anger. "What, so you're saying this is all some sort of lie?"
She tucks a strand of red hair back behind her ear, her eyes intent on mine. "Yes."
