Summary
Bernard Dowd is an aspiring cook in a seaside port town. He's got big plans for the future, but with his lack of support, the closest he's getting to the fancy restaurants are the fishing boats that sell in bulk to them.
Tim is a mer, dragged into unfamiliar waters with no idea how far he is from his home and family. He narrowly avoids another capture, but only because of the human whose weapon he steals to cut himself free.
The two couldn't be from more different worlds. But their chance meeting spirals quickly into something deeper for both of them. Everything seems to stand in their way, from a messy family and a bad reputation, to an elite team of poachers seeking their fortune, to nature itself. Somehow they'll make it work.
