In the far future, centuries after the Diamond Authority is dismantled, a group of people are assembled to form the crew of a ship that would serve as a symbol of unity between humanity and the gems.
Sadly, an experimental weapon used by a group of Homeworld Rebels manages to hit a small group of said crew, sending them millennia into the past, a whooping 2000 years before Rose's rebellion.
Now, out of sheer spite (and with a little bit of giddiness) they will use their knowledge of future tech and events to completely rewrite history. 'Cause you're outta your mind if you think they'll just sit there in suffering until Pink Diamond decides to throw the temper tantrum that gives her Earth. Hot Rod wonders if he's cursed by something he did in a previous life. Normal mechs don’t have to deal with the slag he gets put through—namely getting stranded on a Quintesson-occupied planet with no means of contacting home, encountering strange, mutilated Cybertronians seemingly built just to kill Quints, and being ordered to babysit said strange, mutilated Cybertronians.
All of this is to say that everything currently wrong with Hot Rod’s life can be attributed to the stray that followed him home: one maybe-empurata victim calling himself “Thunderclash”.

Before the Kaiju came to Earth, Thunderclash used to dream of being an astronaut, and after the longest two decades of his life, his boyhood dream has somehow come to fruition.
Sure, it’s been a bit more fraught than he’d imagined as a kid—what with him piloting a mecha instead of a rocket, helping giant robotic aliens fight off Kaiju, and dealing with a language barrier that has resulted in said aliens mistaking him for being one of them—but Thunderclash wouldn't give it up for the world.
Besides, with Hot Rod guiding him through these unfamiliar stars, Thunderclash thinks that everything'll turn out fine.

Along the way, she meets Goshe, a strange rabbit man warrior suffering from loss of his own, a strange child with healing abilities, and a pack of twelve bestial children that pilot an ancient and massive tank called the Taranis. Together, they will stand against the forces that seek to destroy everything they love, while learning more about the strange and fractured world they live in and facing the ghosts of their pasts.

Ever since the Kaiju onslaught first began, and Leon watched Raccoon City fall, he stepped down from being a hero, taking to odd jobs and helping maintain defensive walls and tactics. The string of jobs brought him to a large city on the coast called Gotham which was dealing with a unique anomaly of people going into the ocean and coming back as kaiju and various monstrosities. Leon could care less about the details so long as the Jaeger Initiative program in this city did their jobs.
On a day when he saved an old lady from getting robbed, he's approached by one of their pilots or was a pilot, Dick Grayson who piloted the Jaeger: Nightwing. Having been without an entirely compatible drift partner for years and taking a backseat to train others, he sees something in Leon in the way he defends the civilians. With a bit of sweet talk, he convinces him to join him at the base, but will Leon get over his fear of letting others in to confront his old memories in the Drift and forge a new bond?

Godzilla has not been seen since San Francisco, he has not left Birth Island and Monarch is not sure why. Neither him or Gojirin have been sighted in the 5 years since San Francisco... and soon they may discover why.
Venator has been working tirelessly to erect Anti-Kaiju walls to defend major cities around the globe. The UN grows wary of the Kaiju as such a large amount of them were not expected to have come up from the Hollow Earth at once. As such they have redirected Monarch's focus to finding these Hollow Earth entrances and guarding them... research to enter the Hollow Earth is underway.
The United Nations have established a new organization: International Kaiju Defense Corps in response to the Battle of San Francisco, serving as the line of defense against attacking Kaiju.
All in all, the world has been at peace for these 5 years...
