The so-called choice spirit has decided he wants to have the upper hand the next time he proposes a choice to the Inquisitor, and he sees Hawke as a valuable hostage. Hawke, for her part, just wants to live long enough to make it back into the waking world. For all she doesn't want to be used as a prop for revenge, it also seems like her best chance at survival.
That's so long as the constant ranting about Michel de Chevin doesn't drive her insane in the meantime.

It is that serious for Aspen. Kirkwall is no joke for a mage. Especially when your twin brother finds trouble, and Templars, around every corner. Aspen and Lennox Hawke came into the world together. They might very well take each other out of it again - and every one agrees it would be Nox’s fault.
And then there’s the other twins - or at least, the one that survived the flight from Lothering.

A slow-burn fanfiction about my canon Hawke--named Arthur-- and his complicated relationship with Anders. This follows the events of Dragon Age 2 while expanding and adding scenes between acts. I take a lot of creative liberties with this because I do believe what we saw in game was Varric's version of the events, so there will be some changes from the game!
