“Loki!” Thor’s voice boomed in a way that almost irritated his ears as much as his brain. “There you are! It’s so hard to find you these days, brother. You’d think we weren’t living in the same tower!”It was almost as if he didn’t want to be found, Loki mused. He turned around to see the grinning buffoon trotting over. Twirling the stupid hammer around his index finger as if it was not forged from a literal star. What an idiot he was.
“What have you been up to?” Thor asked, blissfully unaware of the insults Loki had been coming up with internally.
“Just walking around,” Loki replied dryly, before handing Thor the crushed can. He, of course, just accepted the can with a curious look. “And crushing cans.”
“What strange pastimes you have,” Thor remarked, looking at the can.

The panic on her face when she was banished to Midgard to be stripped of her magic. Intended to die, forgotten. Nothing but a mortal in the end, after every drop of Seiðr had been ripped from her soul.

Hardly given the chance to think clearly after the mind stone's influence had been crushed out of him, let alone the chance to plead his case to the king who had always hated his magic, or to tell him what might follow him to Midgard, Loki is sentenced to the same fate for his actions.

Loki is given to S.H.I.E.L.D as a prisoner after the events of the first Avengers movie. With his magic bound and his body in a near-mortal state he is tortured until he breaks and then tortured again. Finally Nick Fury is made aware of the situation and he turns to everyone's favorite billionaire: Tony Stark. And that's how Tony is suckered into allowing a damaged Norse God into his tower as his prisoner/servant.
Basically I like writing angsty pieces and delving into the psychological states of people in pain. And bringing egos low.

This story explores Loki before the events of the Thor 1 movie: Learning then that he was adopted catalyzes great hurt, confusion and brutality in him. I wanted to write about how he learned that brutality, and how it would have lead to the character we see in Thor 1 and later. I have always wanted to explore a younger version of Loki in general, and imagine more about his childhood, youth and coming of age before he becomes what we see of him in the MCU.
This story is really dark, Odin is really mean and those tags are there for a reason. There is plot, but very few breaks with fluff and nice feels. It gets very bad, but not to the point where it would cause a divert from canon into AU. -
