Many years ago black fire swept through the Whispering Woods. The Whisperer only managed to save a small portion, and it led to the establishment of WATCH. Now, many generations later, Clarence finally has a successor. A successor who has somehow slipped through everyone's fingers and gone missing.
Dakota fell, gained superpowers, and is now determined to join WATCH as a Guardian. Virion fell of the floating island he called home, and woke up in a strange place with strange new friends. And William fell off a cliff, led to his death by strange blue fireballs, and now might be the only person left capable of saving everything, if only someone can explain to him how to stop falling through the floor.
AUTHOR NOTE: Season 1/Act 1 is complete but this story will most likely be continued in the future.

Jason didn’t know what to do. Harlem and the car door were like opposing magnets and Jason was caught in the middle. Part of him wanted to leave now, get on a plane right here and never look back. But the other half of his soul wanted to hold onto Harlem and never let go. Who was he kidding? This was Silhouette, a superhero reborn from time, a wielder of shadows and a beacon of hope for all of Prime. Someone like that didn’t need someone like Jason.

On the very front page is a picture of her. It's from the first day, when they got their powers- she’s outside the museum, standing on the steps, her head tipped to the sky. Her eyes are closed and her hair is a bright, vibrant auburn around her face, her curls frizzy and in disarray. The sunlight creates a halo around her face, her armor glistening. Her expression is peaceful, despite the fact the rest of her has clearly just exited a fight, covered in scuffs and scrapes.
“You look nice,” Jason offers. She grips the newspaper tightly.

“Alright.” Dakota scooted closer. “William. Can I call you Wiwi?” William stared at him. “You’re new around here, right? I’m pretty close to everyone in our class, but I haven’t really gotten to know you.” Dakota nudged his shoulder. William continued to stare. “But’cha seem like a pretty cool kid. And Wiwi, I'm sure both of us agree that schools stupid, right?” He gave a slow nod. “See? There's so much more important stuff to do than study! Like… I dunno, going outside! Getting… fresh air!” He began to raise his voice, and a few kids looked over at them. Dakota shrank back down in his chair. “Sorry.” He chuckled. “But ‘cause I was busy doing actually important stuff yesterday I couldn't study. So, uh, would ya do me a favor and help me out a bit?”
“...You want me to help you cheat?”
“Well, I wouldn't think of it as cheating. Just helping a friend out a bit, ya know? We’re friends, right?” Dakota stared straight at William, giving him the most pitiful puppy-dog eyes he could muster. William sighed.
