A story of incredible loss, and then what comes after.
'Aren't you gonna lay down?' Bonecrusher signs. 'It's late.'
"Oh we can't," says Mixmaster from where he's tucked up under Long Haul's arm.
'The frag not?' signs Bonecrusher. 'Don't tell me you ain't tired?'
Mixmaster gestures slowly but dramatically at their laps. Across them, stretching from Long Haul's left thigh and over both of Mixmaster's, is a bright white and dark black shape that contrasts sharply with all of their paint.
'Okay? So wake him up, or pick him up, or whatever?'
"He's fast asleep," whispers Mixmaster, aghast. "We can't. What if he gets up and leaves?"
'Let him leave?!' This is ridiculous.
"You know, I think we're fine. More than fine, really."
Bonecrusher swings around to squint at Scavenger. 'And what's your excuse?'
Scavenger gestures at the itty bitty overlap of a single white foot on the edge of his thigh.
Bonecrusher is in a sparkbond with absolute clowns.

It was just supposed to be an experiment.
Shockwave wanted to test fusing spark fragments from a gestalt into forming one whole spark, to be inserted into a ready made frame like cold construction. With some carefully timed manipulation he had even managed to coerce the less than willing Constructicons into participating.
It was an experiment the Constructicons were supposed to wash their servos of completely, after helping Shockwave get the newspark up to speed as a Decepticon. No different than any other newspark that had been constructed cold. They weren't supposed to get attached to it like it was a sparkling.
Unfortunately, Scavenger did not get that memo, or truthfully just elected to ignore it.

Summary
A fan-made prequel to the Bay movies. Borrowing elements from all 5 movies, however only keeping the first movie as hard canon due to the 17,000 year constraint set by Revenge of the Fallen. This is being done aware of the prequel comics for the movie series, which I personally do not find very good and don't really stretch the limits of where the story can possibly go with the characters. Story majorly covers the last 2 million years leading into Transformers (2007), with the decepticons having the most focus. Tidbits of earlier portions of the history will be found later in the story.

So, as we know, Prowl and the Constructicons got arrested for a while.
Optimus realizes that he may have not been the most supportive friend to Prowl after his whole “Get mind controlled and unwilling added to a Gelestat” episode. During a conversation with an old friend, he realizes that maybe Prowl needed some support after those incidents, and maybe that's why he was acting even more suspicious, paranoid, and doing more crazy things than normal. So, he walks on over to the prison the day Prowl is being released to offer him a place to stay. But, he finds that the Constructicons have decided to take Prowl with THEM. During this confrontation, Prowl seems to be very traumatized (Not talking, nor even looking at Optimus, he is being barricaded from the world, and he won't even react much to anything.)
In reality, Prowl is changing his communication styles to something he is more comfortable with as he is supported by his new family.AKA: Optimus POV of Prowl finally getting love and support for his Autistic self, and Prowl unmasking. And Optimus, being the “I must save everyone I can” mech he is, COMPLETELY misses it. #OblivousPrime

Smokescreen and Bluestreak are panicking because a magic video game just sucked Prowl into it, and now they have to help him get out. They are gonna be in so much trouble! Sideswipe and Sunstreaker brought popcorn and are just enjoying the show that is Prowl struggling. Jazz has no idea what's happening, but he's rolling with it!

Prowl’s doorwings flicked up. His Tac-Unit had clocked them miles back. Rumors spoke of Barbarians wandering the wastes, feral mecha lying in wait to raid unsuspecting travelers and make off with mecha to ravage as war prizes. But Prowl put no stock in baseless rumors. He was here to complete his mission and he'd do it well regardless of any Bandits' sad attempts at trying to get the jump on him.
The Constructicons come across another supply transport ripe for the picking after Scavenger picks up a lovely scent, only to find that their target's more prepared compared to the usual easy Citymecha. That was fine. Scrapper always loved a challenge.

With the truce now firmly in place following the defeat of Unicron, the Autobots and Decepticons work to usher in a new era of peace in the newly established Autobot City while Cybertron heals. The Constructicons take this opportunity to finally try to find ways to court the Autobot's brilliant and beautiful second-in-command. After some not-so-successful attempts, Scavenger comes up with a novel idea based on old Praxian customs and decides to court Prowl in a way ripped straight from one of Thundercracker's trashy romances. Well, things couldn't get any worse, right? What did they have to lose?
Prowl is mortified. Jazz is a good Amica. Sideswipe is highly amused. Bumblebee just wants to make a pizza. Somehow, everything works out in the end.

Bonecrusher loves showboating for his partners. Most notably, he loves flashing his valve at them in public.
Fwip-fwip and that's all it took. He'd have a cute, flustered partner and plausible deniability. It was awesome.
However, when he gets caught in the act one day, Prowl worries that he's placed his reputation on the line and requests that he stop... to immediate resistance from Bonecrusher.
Prowl then initiates an effort to dissuade further flashing through punishment. The rest of their partners are all too happy to join in.
