When Sapnap walked in, gasping like he couldn’t breathe, Dream and George were immediately paying attention.
Crossing over to them both, Sapnap dropped down onto the couch between them. “I can’t—panic attack—I need—“ He waved his hands slightly. Immediately, Dream took one of his hands. Pulled him close.
“Ssh. Ssh, it’s okay, it’s alright. Breathe.” Dream said, wrapping his arms around Sapnap’s back.

“Tommy, stop right where you are!” Dream ordered, throwing a hand out and staring at him. Freezing, Tommy held his hands up, heard the leaves stop crunching behind him. Panting, Dream glanced around, then let out a sharp groan through gritted teeth. One of his hands clutched at his leg, where the blue jeans had been shredded by…
Oh. A wave of nausea settled over Tommy and he could feel the blood draining from his face. His blood didn’t matter, though, Dream’s did. And, for the moment, Dream’s blood was currently staining his jeans red-brown, slicking his hands and fingers and the green grass below him.
The long, curved jaws of a bear trap were locked in Dream’s leg.

Most groups they saw were small. Theirs, on the other hand, was nearly thirty people. They made it work. Sure, that big of a group had some pros and cons. One con was that there was almost never enough—not food for the next several days, or space, or supplies.

There was a horrifying, loud roar from the doors.
Glancing over, Tommy sighed. Looked to Wilbur. “Guess we’re going to have fun today.” He mused. Nodding, Wilbur glanced around. Then, they grabbed the closest items that would work as weapons.
Aisles crashed over, and all of them slowly crouched down. From above the aisles, a large, diamond-shaped head appeared over various cleaning supplies. Snout wrinkling, the creature looked around.

Asphalt slammed into his back, and there was a giant crow standing above him. Against the streetlights, its whole body was silhouetted in jet black. Bright red eyes stared down at him, swirls of shimmering gold wreathed through the scarlet tone. Wings flaring out, blocking out all nearby light, it screamed in his face. Phil yelled right back. Felt something hot spreading out under his shoulders.
“Phil! Kick it!” Techno yelled. Glancing back, Phil turned back to the crow.

Someone help, he thought. Frozen to the dirt. Someone swept forwards, there was a burst of feathers, and then he was being shielded by wings. Phil pressed Tommy’s face into his chest.
There was a flash of gray in the sunlight. Heart chilling, Tommy gasped. “There’s a gun!”
A sharp crack split the air, and a body hit the earth.

Then, there was a surge of electricity and thunder slammed down around them. Gasping, Jack let his head drop against the ground again. Taking a breath, he raised his head, opened his eyes fully. The person who’d stepped on his chest was lying in the dirt.
Tugging himself upright, pressing his hands to his chest and closing his eyes, Jack sat up.
