"Right." Buck replies quickly. "So statistically speaking we’ve already talked about almost everything two people can talk about."
"Almost, but I don't think I could ever get tired of talking to you anyways." Eddie assures him, eyes shining and full of love.
Buck flushes, and can't quite find the words to respond so he just squeezes Eddie's hand.
Before he can figure out what to say, Eddie leans across the table and captures his lips in a soft kiss. Kissing Buck was addicting, to the point where Eddie felt he could spend the rest of his life doing nothing but kiss him.
"Okay," Buck says when they break apart, blush even more evident, "but I still don't know your stance on pineapple pizza."

Should Eddie say something to make him stay? He already refused coffee, but maybe he didn’t like coffee? Shit, he was reaching for the doorknob and Eddie had lost his chance. Eddie opened his mouth to say… something… and was interrupted by a feral screech that had the other man whipping around, just in time to catch a chest full of cat.
“What the fuck?,” he asked, looking down at Oreo, wide-eyed.
Or… Eddie’s cat goes missing and Buck finds her. Oreo gets extremely attached to Buck and won’t let him leave until she’s confident that he’ll come back. Clearly, she has to do everything for her owner.

The armchair feels too distant despite the fact that he’s almost pushed it fully up to the bed. Eddie watches again as Buck shudders. Fuck it. Eddie decides, tentatively, because it’s late and Buck looks so small and frail on his bed, Eddie has the ability to help, why doesn’t he do it? “Can I?” He motions to the bed.
Buck opens his eyes, locking them with Eddie’s. “Yeah,” he replies just as softly.
Eddie slowly crawls onto the left side of the bed and gently puts the covers over himself. Buck’s bed is objectively large, but Buck himself takes up over half of it.
He feels a shift as Buck twists a little closer to him, like a moth to a flame. Eddie can’t help it; he slowly puts his arm out and pulls Buck in.

"I don't know," Eddie said for what felt like the hundredth time this evening.
"h aies i ai ai deses" Buck spat at Eddie. Fury filling his eyes and arms flexing more and more with every 'syllable'.
Eddie sat there, blank eyed, unsure of what to say.
"h aies i ai ai deses" Buck repeated louder—as if the problem was Eddie's hearing and not the massive mouth piece in his mouth.
"I don't know Buck!"
"Oh come on this is easy," Maddie said laughing.
"Yeah Eddie, this is easy," Chimney mocked.
OR: Eddie was thrilled to have Maddie and Chimney over for game night. That was until he realised two things. For one, he categorically sucks at any and every board game. Secondly, he is dating possibly the biggest sore loser in existence.
