And not just for the Isle. It’s actually abnormal for the Isle, pretty out of place amongst the typical villain soulmarks. Mal’s soulmark is in her own handwriting, so she’ll be the most important person in her soulmate’s life. It says lover, and the illustration is a signet ring. It sits on the inside of her left wrist.

Riley’s sixteenth birthday approached with Niel Sedaka and Christmas lights. As a kid, she’d refused to let her family put up decorations until after her birthday, but then she’d realized that Christmas was the best time to be a Riley and that a week wasn’t nearly enough time to be as festive as she required.So the 3rd of December found her in the family room with Auggie, Farkle and Lucas, hanging stockings on the stairway railing (they’d used to put them on the mantle, but then Auggie’s had caught fire and their mom had decided to hang the flammable decorations up in a place that was less of a fire hazard) and fighting with the plastic tree (Topanga insisted that it was better value-for-money and maybe that was true but Riley was pretty sure that her dad just didn’t like carting fresh trees up the stairs each year, which… fair enough).

The most magically powerful number is four. There is no reason for this. God was most likely having a laugh when She decided it.

That's why Mal le Fey is one of four children born at 4:44 am on the fourth of April.

She was shorter than him, and he was using his height deliberately to glare down at her, but Katara didn’t back down. He could feel the sun soaking into him – his power was strongest while she was at her weakest, and for a moment he wished she would start something so that he could beat her in a fight. “I can make fire anywhere, and you might get one shot in, but then I am going to make you burn.”
The moment dragged out.
They were glaring.
Still glaring.
This was the point where the girl would usually be flying away on a bison and he’d be covered in perfume or something.
Something shifted in her expression, and Zuko started fully processing what he had just said, and how it could perhaps have been phrased a little—Her voice was completely flat. “Make. Me. Burn.” Her mouth tugged, started widening into a sly smile.
His stomach dropped. Oh no. “I meant it like—“
