Summary
When the protocol was first installed, it was out of precaution due to Monty’s rising aggression. It was quick and rushed so the name of the protocol was not well thought out. Fazbear Entertainment was just trying to prevent another future lawsuit.
This protocol however, works in Gregory’s favor, even if it was an accident.
TLDR; Gregory makes a good mistake.
