  1. Summary

Dark forces are drawn to tragedy.

Some are slow, the creeping pull of self-hate.

Some are subtle, the unreleased sorrow of trauma long past.

Some are pushed down, hatred said to be long forgotten and forgiven.

But some still are malicious, demons and criminals from the dark underbelly of our world.

The Sun, The Moon. A Sword, A Shield. The Hot, The Cold.

The tragedy of six innocuous friends will bring untold horrors to a small town, and if they drown in sorrow, the rest of the world as well.

Happiness must be fought for, and no matter their reservations they must:

    Rip

    and

    Tear.

AKA: What if the OMORI cast were thrust into situations straight from some of the bloodiest games around, made to be as non-anachronistic and sensible as is feasible.

Not very serious, but will still try to touch on the angst we all know and love from time to time to varying efficacy.

    Summary

Lately, some strange things have been happening to Sunny. Sometimes, he’ll hear curious noises in the dead of night, and he swears that food keeps going missing from his fridge. His therapist has chalked it up to him imagining things again, like he had in his youth, but no prescriptions seem to help.

After many nights lying petrified in bed, he finally gains the courage to investigate.

Good stuff. nothing much to comment on, part of me wishes we got more information on how the rest of the friend group were doing, if Sunny and Aubrey reconnecting ended up as some kind of catalyst for Sunny to reach out to the rest of them, though it wasn't terribly important for the story. Yeah, not much to say, good and sweet. And the conceit was pretty funny, I kinda wish we got to see more of the period where Sunny didn't know Aubrey was "living with" him, from both perspectives.

    Summary

It's been around 9 months since Sunny revealed the truth about the incident, and he's since moved away to the small suburb of Gravesfield. He's grown accustomed to his new life and has been recovering steadily. But when a certain pink-haired delinquent is said to be visiting on her birthday, Sunny panics, and does what he always does best. Avoiding confrontation by hiding. But when his bad habits lead him to a derelict shack with a glowing entrance, Sunny must prepare to have an adventure that would exceed any that Headspace could conjure up.

Omori-centric Owl house X Omori fic, expect spoilers from both series.

9.8/10 A fantastically written Omori x Owl House Fic, only slight hiccup being some spelling errors, and my lack of knowledge of alternative spellings of pajamas. Other than that, practically perfect.

    Summary

    > On that fateful day,
A few hours before the recital,
Sunny threw his violin down the stairs, but for different reasons this time.
Mari is not an angel, as everyone thinks. Sunny knew her better than anyone, and he felt like his sister hated him recently. But after practicing the violin with her, he confirmed his fears—she was not Mari, or at least not the old Mari.
She had changed. She didn’t care about him anymore—she used to, but why had that changed? Or had it always been this way?
    Also, everyone hates Sunny.
(This is my first fanfiction, and English is not my first language. Please tell me if I spelled something wrong.)
    Are there any grammar mistakes?

    Bookmarker's Notes

    1/10
    This has some issues.
Easy stuff first, spelling and grammar. I can't be too upset, since English isn't the author's first language, but just be aware it isn't perfect.
Next, it isn't finished and doesn't seem like it will be any time soon, this is fine too, but we don't get any pay off for the events. Especially with what happens in this fic, I think we should be seeing the whole original friend group practically groveling at Sunny's feet for forgiveness, but that's part of a different issue. The (somewhat) wasted potential. In the beginning, Kim and Vance are set up as Sunny's friends, they help him out, let him stay over when his family is being assholes, all that jazz. Then they hear one peep about Mari and immediately dissolve from the story, instead being replaced by the people in the orphanage. I think this is, in fact, kinda dumb. It's fine-ish though, Kim seems to come back around for Sunny towards the end, so it wasn't for absolutely nothing, but still kinda nothing.

The big things, the things I have a lot of issues with. The story and characters. Story first, it mostly revolves around Sunny being miserable, specifically at the hands of his old friends, all over Mari lying to their faces. There really isn't much going on besides that and occasional comfort from the orphanage lady, Ch. 19 seemed to involve Sunny having a plan to expose Mari, and that seemed to work, but since the fic is over with we don't have any aftermath really.

Let me talk about those "friends" sweet lord are they mischaracterized. Which is somewhat a part of the game with fan content, but every change in character just feels miserable. Kel bullies Sunny, hardly asking himself why. Aubrey immediately turns on him, completely falling into Mari's deceptions because she just loves Mari so damn much. Hero does the same, but somehow worse because he's supposed to be older and more mature than the rest, so he just beats down on Sunny (a 12 year old) because his girlboss gf got a boo boo. Mari is a complete asshole who apparently doesn't feel anything when she practically loses her brother who she, at least at some point, loved. Oh and Basil, Sunny's best friend who in canon would defile a corpse to protect Sunny completely abandons him at the first little whiff of an issue, some best friend.
None of them even try to defend him, his friends who all supposedly love each other are all just shallow people who only actually care about Mari, and no one else besides themselves. If any of them had tried to defend Sunny I can imagine these people throwing them to the curb as well. I bet Hero wouldn't even care if Kel went homeless if he dared impose on the mighty and holy will of Mari.

The biggest sin here is the culmination of all of these. It isn't interesting. Sunny is the only character with any actual depth, and even then, it's just a mix of self-hate and a need for love. Aubrey doesn't have any thoughts aside from "Sunny bad." Hero doesn't use his wisdom to reflect on his broken relationship with Sunny, or have any doubts as to if Mari is right. Kel doesn't miss the days with his best pal, and feel any sorrow towards the fact that Sunny's gone. Basil doesn't feel remorse over abandoning his best friend, one of the few who'd genuinely listen to him. And Mari doesn't even once think she's done something wrong to her brother, the boy she loved since his birth. They only give apologies or any indication that they cared about him after Sunny "reveals" that Mari wasn't a perfect angel, and that she hurt him as well.
    It wasn't him being orphaned,
    it wasn't him being ostracized,
it wasn't the time spent without him, no.
It was when, and only when Mari was revealed to not be as perfect as she appeared that they even gave lip service to empathizing with Sunny at all.
The characters in this are shallow, not nearly being interesting enough for me to want to trudge through more Sunny pain to see it get better, which it barely does. Aubrey and Hero still believe Mari to be near innocent as of the end of the fic.

No hate to the author, not all fics are masterpieces and just starting out can make it difficult, even more so with English not being one's first language. But I think that feedback is needed to learn, and I do think the concept is good, The Dreaded Knife took a similar concept and made a far more layered cast of characters with it. But I think more care needs to be taken with the story and characters to make something truly great, and I have hope that this author can knock my socks off some day.

My recommendation with this fic is to use it for inspiration to take its concept and make something with more depth, as this is a good concept, I will never take that credit away from the author, they chose a good idea.

    Have a good one.

    9.1/10
Honestly, one of my favorites to re-read.
Just an adorable fic with some great bits of humor. I love how Mari goes along with the chat, while Kim is super no-nonsense, until even she can't help but tease Aubrey.
Kel is not paying any attention to anything, just cheering Sunny on in pretty much only the most mundane stuff.
This is only not a 9 because of the meaningless One-Shot tax I put on my bookmarks for some reason.

Also, this fic has the goat fredrickfozzie2014, I stan him.

Sunny was tired. He really didn't want to fight, especially now that this gang Kel called the Hooligans rolled up to-

Wait, Aubrey's here? Sunny's her boyfriend? He snuggled with her on weekends? He made her pancakes when he was clearly a waffles guy?

The hell happened these past four years?

    Good stuff, unfortunately unfinished.
I really like the concept and wish more people did a take on something like this.
Sunny having the realization of "Wait, I've got game?" is a funny one and I think there are a few ways you could take it.
