“You’d think you’d be worshipping me, then.” Quackity’s voice is much smaller than he’d like it to be. “You think you’d be down on your knees, praising me as your savior for having a hand in bringing you back. You’re only back because I ensured you’d be, Wilbur.” Wilbur’s tongue darts out over his lips before retreating back into his mouth as he leans forward and places his mouth right next to Quackity’s ear. Their bodies are so close that if Quackity breathes too hard, his chest would bump into Wilbur’s torso.

“What,” Wilbur’s voice went low as he leant on the balcony next to him. He barely resisted the urge to shiver. Wouldn’t let him have the satisfaction. “No comment? No swearing? Why’ve you lost your touch all of a sudden, Big Q? Or should I say,” one finger moved to fold down the yellow turtleneck’s collar, exposing his neck. “Your bite?”
“You wanted--”
“My eyes are up here, Quackity.” Wilbur reminded him. His tone was gentle, but he could tell the fucker was trying not to laugh. Self-satisfied little prick.

Summary
The moment the words ‘impossible love’ leave Tommy’s lips Wilbur knows he’s found the correct flower. They’re a batch of beautiful blue roses, dark and blooming. Wilbur isn’t sure he could have found a better fit.
“This is for Big Q, isn’t it?” Tommy asks as he weaves together the stems of the flowers. His fingers are bleeding from pricking them on the thorns and Wilbur notes to himself to find the kid some band-aids later. “You love him, don’t you?”
Wilbur finds the word ‘yes’ on his lips but he can’t truly bring himself to say it. Love is a promise, love is a commitment. Considering Wilbur’s plans in the next couple months he’s pretty sure commitments aren’t a smart thing to be making.
