    When Izuku started studying heroes, he didn’t think he would mourn them.
    He had been young, back then. He had thought that heroes were invincible. On top of the world.

    He had been proven wrong.

    So there he was, a four-year old, learning about death the way he learned about most other things.
    Heroes.

    Or,
    Izuku studies more than hero quirks, he studies the whole person. This ends up in him making memorials and chasing belongings of the deceased in a… somehow endearing way.
