Shouta Aizawa didn't really expect any of his problem children would actually call him when he gave out his number after the USJ, so it's sufficed to say he wasn't expecting to answer a call from his number one problem child during winter break, but when a phone rings from across the room way too early in the morning,he can't help but groan "Midoriya if it's not an emergency I'm sure you can talk about whatever you need in the class group chat and I can help later when I've had my coffee"
"I-it's important se-sensei, I swear! I promise I wouldn't call you for something stupid! It's just that something happened to Shinsou-kun and I don't really know the specifics but he texted last night me asking to come to my house, and of course I agreed but then when he got here he was really injured and he's fine now but I don't feel comfortable bringing him home because I don't know if it was one of his guardians or not and I don't know what to do!" Midoriya decends into quiet rambling.
"Problem child, calm down." Shouta cuts him off tiredly running rough fingers through his ratty hair. Midoriya shuts up with a squeak of embarrassment. "Okay, from what I've gathered Shinsou texted you asking if he could come to your house, then when he shows up, he's injured, so you let him stay the night?" He asked with a sigh, fingers rubbing at his temple, his eyebrow creased in worry. Despite his hard-ass reputation, he still cared about his hellions, they were still children, they needed care to become the heros they say they want to be, it's really only logical.
"Y-yes sensei!" Midoriya squeaks anxiously, he couldn't blame the boy either, Shouta was stressed just hearing about it.
"Alright, okay, everyone's fine," he says comfortingly, pacing his room, continuing hesitantly "Is there anything, I mean anything, Midoriya,I mean it,anything that Shinsou could have said that could have gave you any information about what could've happened?" The dam broke, and for a minute all he hears is whimpers and muffled sniffling over the white noise of his thoughts. He can tell Midoriya was crying, the kid seemed to be extremely disressed, and it seemed like the boy wasn't going to say anything. Shouta opens his mouth to cut the problem child some slack break when Midoriya finally spoke
"NO," The boy hysterically sobbed " he was m-mute and i didn't want to p-press and I didn't know what to do and I'm so scared, Sensei I don't kno-know what to do! Im s-sorry!" the poor kid was absolutely just tearing at the seams now and Shouta couldn't help but feel bad for the boy,if Shouta had to guess the problem child probably hasn't let himself process anything until right now, he sighs anxiously.
"Problem child I need you to breathe, you're okay, you'll be alright, Shinsou is fine, he's safe now and won't get hurt" Aizawa murmurs comfortingly, chest filled with sorrow, Midoriya seemed to calm down at his words, once erratic breathing now more calm, though still a bit wet. "you alright now, kid?" He asked running calloused fingers through ratty hair, there's a hesitant hum of confirmation "Midoriya, is Shinsou awake right now?" He questions, gruff tone seeping back into his voice, tone still quite soft.
"N-no, we fell asleep watching a movie together last night and he's still curled up on me." He awkwardly responds, voice wobbly from anxiety seeping through into his tone.
"Alright, problem child is there anywhere all of us can meet up sometime later today?" He asked, cracking his neck slightly, walk tiredly to his closet and pick out clothes for the day
"Uhm, m-m-maybe we could meet up at that new cat cafè a few blocks away from UA at 12:30? I'll reserve us a seat if that's what you want?" Midoriya says shyly, losing a bit of his anxiety. He glances at the clock sitting on his night stand, 9:25.
"That sounds fine Problem Child, we'll talk more there." He says in a half-yawn half-groan quickly hanging up before the kid could say anything. Ok,this was fine, he was fine, his problem child just called him and told him that another one showed up at his house injured and nonverbal. Yep,he was totally fine. He took a moment to compose himself, first he needed to get ready, then he can call Tsukauchi and tell him to get his foster paperwork ready, just in case. Yeah, just in case.
Aizawa needed a raise, he truly didn't get paid enough for this. Not to say he wasn't worried, of course Shouta was worried he had trained Shinsou ever since his performance at the sports festival. While normally he would brush him off as another kid trying to be a hero with no training, however, he saw a familiar fire behind his eyes, one he hasn't seen in anyone other than Shouta himself, desperate to prove he's worth the seat he took place in behind Midoriya in 1-A. He knew that feeling and he knew that if Shinsou wanted to get better at fighting he would need him,so, he trained him Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and he, admittedly got attached to his student. It was sufficed to say he was worried, but he also couldn't help the guilt that seeps into his bones, weighing his every move down.He DIDN'T realize something was wrong, he's a been a hero for years and he didn't even know something was wrong. He is trained to spot these things. He SHOULD have noticed, the signs were there now that he looked back and he DIDN'T know,he should've.
His statement stands. Shouta is not payed nearly enough for this shit. He has so much to do. He groans as he realized he also needs to shower, he had forgotten to shower after having a particularly rough patrol, instead opting to flop into bed curling in closer to his husband. SHIT! Hizashi! He forgot he was out visiting Tensei! He needs to text his husband! He quickly pulls out his phone, punching in the code and pulling up hizashis contact
Sho: hey zashi, something came up, I might not be home by the time you get back
Sho: There's a chance I may have to use my emergency foster license
Sho: so can you prepare the guest room
He hits send and pockets his phone, he has a lot to do, but things will be fine,he knows it.

Midoriya sighs anxiously, he'd not expected to break down like that, he had been fine last night, so why is he so stressed now? He wasn't even the really involved in whatever happened to Shinsou-kun, so he shouldn't feel stressed. He's being so selfish, wasting time stressing over a meeting that hasn't even happened yet instead of caring for someone who actually deserves to be stressed. God, why can't he just be fucking normal for once goddamnit! He needs to stop being so selfish and just do something actually productive. Finally deiciding to get up, he huffs gently nudging a still asleep Shinsou. "Shinsou-kun," He softly coos, continuing gently, "Shinsou-kun you have to get up, it's almost 10 in the morning and we meet Aizawa sensei at 12:30." Shinsou groaned before burying his face into the soft couch before seemingly processing the statement
"O-oh…" Shinsou mumbles, throat rough from disuse. Slowly sitting up, Shinsou's eyes seem to scan the room nervously before landing on his viridian eyes "Thank you, by the way." he murmured abashedly. Midoriya looked up and smiled
"It's no problem Shinsou-kun." He started, before declaring, "Now, get up we need to get ready to meet Aizawa sensei, it's about a twenty minute walk, so we should probably be ready by 11:30 and leave at 11:40." He stands up and bounces towards the hall "I'll see if I have any oversized clothes, it's probably going to be a hoodie and some sweatpants, but I think that's fine considering the weather, right?" He rambles, disappearing into a room down the hall. Quickly emerging cheerfully emerging with a hoodie and some sweatpants that seemed to be the taller boys size, "The bathroom is the first door down the hall!" Midoriya chirps, skipping over to the kitchen. Shinsou glances back at him before walking into the bathroom and changing into the clothes, black sweatpants and a dark green hoodie that had detailed indigo markings, he'd admit it was pretty cute, Midoriya's wardrobe considered. He walks out of the bathroom, yawning while rubbing sleep out of his eyes. Midoriya's living room was pretty casual, with a few pictures of his childhood and other domestic pictures, proudly displayed throughout the room. He ignores the jealousy bubbling in his chest. Midoriya is Helping him, he should be grateful.
Hitoshi had forgot Midoriya wasn't like Him. He shouldn't be helping a villian like him. Midoriya looks up, green eyes glinting in the overhead lights, now on shining obnoxiously around the room. The boy grins "Hey Shinsou-kun! There's coffee brewing if you want it, an-and I'm almost done making us breakfast! If you would like to you can watch TV w-while you wait!" He mentions, energeticly bouncing on the balls of his feet in the kitchen. Hitoshi nods, unceremoniously flopping on the couch. He starts flipping through the channels, landing on some pre-quirk baking competition. He lets the noise of the TV drown out the outside world as he drifts somewhere, deep in thought, he didn't understand why Midoriya cared. Hitoshi is a lost cause, but that was the thing, people as good as Midoriya don't care, they help anyways. Would he help Midoriya if it were the other way around? He ponders quietly, His head snaps up at a sudden voice, Midoriya, calling his name for breakfast. He ventures over to the coffee machine quickly pouring a cup and desperatly chugging it. He needed the caffeine if he was going to explain what happened to Aizawa-sensei.
"You know, you're not all that bad for a 'golden child'." He teases, voice still hoarse from disuse. Midoriya, unsurprisingly, squeaked indignantly, shoving the food in his mouth as his face heats a bright red. "So, you like American style breakfasts?" Hitoshi finds himself asking, staring at the clearly American styled omelet.
"W-well, I like trying to make new things sometimes and I remembered seeing this omelet while scrolling HeroTube so I thought I'd attempt it," The smaller boy explained, shoving another bite in his mouth, embarrassed. Midoriya suddenly picks up his phone, checking the time.
"We're going to be late!" He yelps continuing "We should have left five minutes ago, quick, get on your shoes, we have to go!" Hitoshi rushed to put on his shoes and they sprint out of the door running until they're both out of breath and then some more, finally the cafè was in view and Midoriya asked, "Are you ready?"
"Not really, but come on." He responds walking in.
It was hard answering all of the questions Aizawa sensei had, but he did, everything that happened to him being spilled in one day, it was decided that he would stay with Aizawa sensei during the break instead of going into another foster family, it didn’t fix everything, no, not really, he still had problems, though it was a start.
