The middle hadn’t cared, making the oath just to get the youngest off their back. But the eldest, he had to be forced into an Oath. Unlike the other two, the eldest would keep his oath. Still, with the Oath temporarily stopping the Prophecy from being fulfilled, the Fates decided to take matters into their own hands. After all, trying to stop a prophecy only makes it self-sufficient.
