Eric stares, eyes unfocused. He sees the shadow of The Angel stand behind Stormwave, taunting him with its presence. Untouchable, unreachable, Eric is unworthy of its slaughter. Unworthy of living in a world without it. Unworthy.
Eric untucks the gun that rested in his belt, first holding out to Stormwave, the barrel positioned right between his eyes. Stormwave stands straighter, and for a moment Eric indulges in hearing the others warm breath. He looks down the barrel, letting his aim drag down Stormwave’s body, then slowly back up, pausing when pointed to his vitals. He debates. But ultimately he knows it would be fruitless.
He sighs, taking a breath before quickly pulling the gun to his chin.
“NO, WAIT-”

The Captain's Quarters is quiet. And more so, it's so, so awkward.
Sirus and Stormwave sit on the floor, a pillow placed underneath them both to keep their legs from being too uncomfortable. They sit with each other, Stormwave’s back to Sirus’s front. Sirus’s hands comb through the wing, paw pads feeling through the unfamiliar texture. His face is focused, eyes squinting with the tip of his tongue resting between his teeth as he picks at another pin feather. The brown to white spots become a familiar sight to him as he goes through, one cluster at a time, mumbling to himself before unraveling another.
