Summary
Conrad remembers exactly how it began.
It was a few months after he and Belly got back together, when everything was still new and nerve-wracking between them. In some ways, it felt like one long sigh of relief, at least for him. Or maybe it was more like taking in a full chest of breath after spending too long underwater. Either way, there was a learning curve to it all.
It took some time to remember how to breathe.

They haven't really talked since they broke up four years ago but Charlie agrees because he always puts others first.Now they gotta get to know each other all over again while also dealing with everything that happened between them in the past.

Summary
"When Charlie Spring was little, he was known as a happy, exuberant, and imaginative child - universally liked by everyone in his orbit.
Before long, circumstances began to slowly smother the optimism and excitement he exuded. He would grow up too much, too soon, making him withdraw and isolate."
This is a story about a boy growing up in an environment where he feels he doesn't belong, he doesn't fit in, and all he wants is someone to stand by his side. Charlie's story is one of courage and resilience, of facing innumerable challenges yet still being true to himself, refusing to compromise on his innate values and beliefs. It is a story of hope.
This fic will build a different backstory for Charlie, but his character will, in essence, be similar to canon. Charlie will meet Nick at uni. This is not a slow burn; once they meet, they are immediately gone for each other, and they will have their romance and happy ending despite some challenges and road bumps along the way. This is Nick and Charlie we're talking about.
Despite the heavy angst tagging, there will be loads of fluff to balance!
For the first time ever, I am creating original characters and it's been so much fun to do!

Summary
Charlie is a 23 year old living in a punk house in Portland, Oregon some time in the 2010s. He’s graduated from therapy, he’s got a great group of people in his life, he’s politically active, and he’s got a fantastic sense of fashion. And he refuses to let anyone dim his shine anymore, not after being forced back into the closet again and again by a series of horrible exes and an equally horrible mother. But what happens when heavily tattooed, chronically-single Charlie sees a clean cut all-American boy walk into a community organizing meeting who won’t stop looking at him with his kind hazel eyes?
This story is noncanonical and a big departure from Heartstopper but equally as saccharine, albeit rougher around the edges. Many scenes are inspired directly by Heartstopper, but this is a completely alternate universe where our characters are dropped into a completely different set of circumstances, on the same timeline as the comics. Namely, they are anarchists in America. See the endnotes for more about the inspiration behind this story.
