Running out of magical food on day one was not the plan.
Half of the Madrigals being struck down with a bad cold by day two was definitely not the planAbuela glanced down at her list, trying to quell her growing anxiety. Of course, someone in the family would come down with something while Julieta was away. She should have made, no- she should have politely asked Bruno to have a vision before her daughter left. But that wouldn't have made a difference anyway- her family would have never said anything to ruin Julieta's trip. They would just have to make some adjustments. Things would be fine. They were fine. As long as nobody else caught whatever Pepa had, everything would go smoothly. "We should all get going. La Familia Madrigal!"

Memo to myself: I stopped reading inbetween because some developments were too fast and kind of out of character for me. But I was still hooked and fascinated by the concept/dialogues between Henry and Will and wanted to continue. Edit: Finished reading..was kind of mindblowing. Really heavy and dark and so genuine. Love how it's written, how the writing style conveys seriousness. How trauma and nonlinear healing are shown.
