“In the sq-” Serapter cut himself off, finally clocking what she said. The ingredients were listed in a square off to the side of the actual recipe. He huffed a quiet laugh. “Yeah, the one labeled ‘ingredients’? That one” He said it teasingly, but knowing Ivory, it would probably be helpful to her. Sometimes the little things didn’t quite compute for her.
“Ah…” Ivory muttered. “‘Chocolate chips’… I don’t think w- we have those.”

Michael Shelley meets Gerard Keay when working as an assistant. They hit it off, of course they do, and they suffer together from hallucinations and an undiagnosed brain tumor, respectively. But they're happy! And then... Michael has to take a trip to Russia.
