I've been replaying rdr2, and have fallen in love with the van der linde gang again (well most of them). This story is au but follows the storyline of the game, and beyond, without the tb for obvious reasons. Hope you enjoy,

Fought together, became best friends, spent their lives together and fell in love. Ten years ago, a terrible event happened, and Isabella was lost to the gang. Now they've found her again, and she needs to learn to relive as part of the family that had once been everything to her. As well as finding a way to be around the man she once loved and the man whose heart she broke.

This is a new prequel to the events of Red Dead Redemption 2, featuring an OC, Dutch's daughter Emmylou "Lou" Van der Linde.A heads-up that I did write a short with Dutch's daughter in it a while back ("Three Protégés", in the Bellicose collection, but this one will be different. Mostly romance, some darker themes coming in (can't help myself). Definitely 18+!

After the disaster in Blackwater, the Van der Linde gang is on the run, struggling to survive as tensions rise and loyalties begin to crack. With nowhere else to go and a past you'd rather forget, you find yourself taken in by a gang of outlaws who are barely holding themselves together. The life you escaped from left scars that never truly healed, and some secrets are better left buried.
Arthur Morgan doesn't trust you from the moment you arrive. To him, you're reckless, emotional, too curious for your own good, and constantly asking questions that are better left unanswered. You never follow orders without arguing first, and somehow always manage to find trouble. To you, Arthur is cold, rude, intimidating, and impossible to please.
As the gang's future grows increasingly uncertain, you begin to see the man beneath Arthur's hard exterior, loyal, burdened, and carrying more pain than he lets anyone see. Arthur can't understand why you still hold on to hope when every part of your past should have broken it.
What begins as resentment slowly becomes something far more complicated as the world around you starts to fall apart.
