Actually, the papers had been sitting on his desk since a week after they separated, which was six months ago. He tells Patrick he’s been caught up with work and the girls, but he really just avoids the documents. He doesn’t want to sign them. Sure, they’ve been separated for months and only speak when the girls are being dropped off at the other’s house. Sure, Patrick has sort of moved on already with his new boyfriend, Brendon, and sure, sometimes he doesn’t want anything to do with Patrick. But he doesn’t want that chapter of his life to end.

High school was kind of awesome, and even in his Senior year he still wasn't sick of it. Patrick loved every second; he had phenomenal grades, he shed a few bad friends and he got to hang out by the soccer field with his laptop after school. The only thing he didn't like was Pete Wentz, all-around fuckboy. He never really did anything to Patrick, per se, his whole presence was just. Annoying. And now they have to be English partners for the whole second semester.
Little does Patrick know that his life is about to be altered forever, and not just in a cheesy way. In a dangerous, 'Oh my god someone is trying to destroy the city and the local fucking superhero and I have to save it' way.
