Summary
Steve Rogers met Tony Stark in Afghanistan in 2011, when they were taken captive after their convoy was decimated by the Ten Rings.
Three years later, Steve is slowly getting his life back after the trauma of an imprisonment he can barely remember. He still has nightmares and attacks of paranoia and panic, and still blames himself for the death of the soldiers under his command. But he also has his friends, a cat and a good job. Most of the time he's happy.
Then he comes back from a weekend away and discovers someone's been staying in his apartment. And then he sees a beautiful, haunted man who shouldn't be familiar, but is. Steve's nightmares suddenly include a stranger with blue-grey eyes, and he wakes up mourning for someone who may not even be real.
And Steve's careful, quiet life starts unraveling.

Steve and Sam return from a futile tour of the globe on the heels of the ghost of the Winter Soldier to find a pile of postcards with the names of confirmed-killed HYDRA agents waiting at Stark Tower: mission reports from the ghost to the only commanding officer he still feels he has.
All of it is set to culminate in New York City... if Bucky can remember what he set up.With some Clint/Natasha, Bucky/Natasha, Steve/Sam pining, a whole bunch of friendship dynamics, gratuitous pop culture references (Bucky is obsessed with pop music, as a coping strategy), slash, het, and a lot of cussing.

He shot you twice,” Clint said.
“And he did it flawlessly,” Natasha said. “Don’t you understand? Even now! Decades after they threw the rest of them out like trash, he is still relentless. Implacable. Unstoppable.” She gestured vaguely, helplessly. “And he is broken, and he knows now what he is, and when I met him again he could barely speak, he had almost no control, he could barely function. But he is still going, Clint. He is still relentless. Even in that state, he got the jump on me. Even in that state, he burns with the will to continue. Even though the machine part is dead. He is still unstoppable, Clint.”
“Huh,” Clint said warily.
“Don’t you see,” she said, exasperated. “They didn’t make him like that! They didn’t do that to him! He was already like that. It gives me a sense of— of myself, that I also am as I am not because I was made, but because I was me. I am not only the Black Widow, but also Natalia Romanova.” She gestured expansively, riding the momentum— it was more than she’d ever really revealed, even to herself. “That isn’t the Winter Soldier, that is James Buchanan Barnes, and you cannot stop him, you cannot break him, you think you can control him but you can’t, Clint, you can’t. He will always rise again. He will come back from the dead, and he will do it again, and again, and again.”
Clint didn’t have a cute answer for that, so they sat in silence for a moment. Steve was nodding. Finally, Clint said, “Even in bed?”
“Oh,” Natasha said, “especially.”
“That’s my boy,” Steve said, fond despite himself.

Summary
A story about Steve waking up in the twenty-first century, insomnia, how supersoldier serum affects one's sensory perception, and finding connections to the past through food.
It stars Steve Rogers and his complete disconnect from the world, Bobbi Morse and her crumbling marriage, Nick Fury and his impressive knowledge of whisk(e)y, and a beat-up copy of The Joy of Cooking.
A Prequel to 1796 Broadway. Can be read in either order, or as a standalone, as it should be more or less canon-compliant with all MCU films.

"Are you looking for something?" Fury asked, tipping the Jack Daniel's bottle up to peer at it.
Fury poured three shots. They clinked the glasses, sucked down their shots. It was too dark, wasn't sweet enough, went down too smooth.
"Yeah," Steve said, and he was surprised to hear himself admit it. "The whiskey we used to drink back home. Clear. It stung. It was sweet. It tasted like caramel corn."
Fury laughed. "White dog," he said. "You're looking for white dog."
"White dog?" Steve asked. "Which one of these is--"
"None," said Fury. "White dog is unaged piece-of-crap shit a step up from rubbing alcohol. Moonshine. We'll see what we can do."
So, that first night awake, when Steve had no one and knew no one, a strange, one-eyed man dressed all in black brought him bottles of unaged whiskey until he settled on the one that tasted the most like what he remembered, an unaged corn whiskey, burning and sweet and viscous all at once. But Fury and Morse had sat with him on a sofa and matched him shot for shot, eaten pastrami and corned beef with him, ordered him a vanilla egg cream, stayed awake even though he knew the alcohol was much stronger for them than it was for him.

Fandom Captain America (Movies), Marvel (Comics), Marvel Cinematic Universe
31 Dec 2017
Summary
This is our collection of mostly domestic, smutty one-shots about the lives of Bucky and Natasha. It started out as participation in the Smut-a-thon (most stories are written for a weekday and prompt), but we kept having more ideas that all take place in the same universe and wanted to be written.
The background of this verse is that during the time in Department X, the Soldier trained the newly appointed Black Widow Natalia, and the two of them fell in love. They were able to keep their relationship secret for almost two years before they were found out, forcefully seperated and wiped.
Years later, during the events of Civil War, they find each other again. Bucky has already regained most of his memories, and eventually, Natasha recovers hers as well. By then they were already well on their way to falling in love again. The fight between the two teams ends, and they join forces to deal with Zemo and the threat he poses (so as you can see, not exactly MCU compliant). Similar to how it happens in the comics, Steve is killed, but returns months later.
(somewhere in between, Liho happens, a proposal and, much later, a wedding happens, as well as many other stories that might get told)

Summary
Immediate sequel to Ora Pro Nobis: Bucky Barnes eats pizza and gets his toenails painted. Setup to a whole series, but this is just a fluffy bit of front material before the shit starts to get real.
Chapter 2 is a thing I posted on Tumblr a while ago, cleaned up here, sequentially a little later. Chapter 3, then, is a bit I wrote around the same time but never posted. This is not just my BuckyNat exploration, it's also an exploration of what Bucky would do if he didn't run to Steve, which was the premise of my other 'verse.
"Apparently all it took was 18 straight hours of sleep, a full meal, a hot shower, and two ounces of whiskey to restore Bucky Barnes to his original powers."

Bookmarker's Notes
She saw him before the guard did. He was right in front of the service entrance, a dark figure striding purposefully onto the loading dock, centering himself between two cameras and looking into them in turn. He was wearing his overcoat, swathed in its dark bulk, anonymous, but he still looked menacing and big.
The wire from his headphones was visible. He stood still a moment, and Natasha waited for the explosion, but none came. Instead he… started… moving?
By the time the guard noticed him it had become clear that James was dancing. He was one hundred percent definitely dancing. The guard’s head snapped to the monitors that showed him and he said, “Who the hell is that?”
One of the card players glanced up. “Huh?”
Natasha recognized the dance. Holy shit, James was doing the “Single Ladies” dance. Like, straight from the video. Hair tosses and all. “You’re insane,” she hissed into the radio.
“They see me?” James asked, breathlessly laughing.
“Yes,” she said. The other players had all stood up and come to look at the monitor.
“What a goddamn clown,” one of the card players said, laughing. “Is that the Single Ladies dance?”
Now was the time for Natasha to move, but she paused a moment. And sure enough, James threw up his left hand, and it glittered as it caught the light.
“That’s not Ford,” another of the card players said. “What’s-- what’s on his hand?”
On the next downsweep of his arms, James shed his overcoat and stepped away from it, continuing the dance flawlessly. Natasha had known he was a competent dancer, but she’d never seen him work it with such convincing sincerity.
He threw his hand up again, and the arm caught the light along its whole, bared length. Oh-- he’d worn the flashy tac gear with the one cut-out arm. She hadn’t realized he’d still had it. Well, distraction.
“Jesus fuck,” the guy who’d been watching the monitors said, recoiling so violently his chair clattered sideways to the ground.
“What?” the others asked, milling around in confusion.
“Who do we know who has a metal fucking arm,” the guard said, “fucking Christ, we’re fucked,” and Natasha smirked and clicked her headset.
“Nice,” she said. “They’re all panicking.”
“Good,” James said, and flipped his hair exuberantly.

Summary
Bucky breaks into Steve's apartment one night and holds Steve at gunpoint, demanding answers for a past he's only just beginning to understand. Though Steve manages to convince Bucky to come home to Brooklyn with him, events (and feelings) quickly spiral out of their control. Natasha warned Steve about pulling on certain threads, after all. The file she gave him reveals much deeper, more sinister connections to both Hydra and the Soviet Union than either Steve or Natasha realized. And Natasha has her secrets, too.
But even if they do untangle the complicated threads, what happens when Bucky's past as the Winter Soldier becomes public knowledge?
Come for the romance and action, stay for the pelmeni and pizza.

He rolled his eyes at her. “I’m not a hipster.”
“No.” Natasha looked at him, her expression perfectly neutral. “You were just into Ella Fitzgerald and button-on suspenders before anyone in this neighborhood was born.”
“Yeah, but where’s my beard?” He folded his arms and tried to scowl at her, but succeeded only in biting his lip to keep from smiling too much. “Or my oddly-flavored craft beer? Or my vegan dinner?”
“Does my ravioli count as vegan? It might count as vegan.” She tilted her head slightly, studying his chin thoughtfully. “And I could see you with a beard, though it might give you a bit of a ‘small liberal arts college professor’ look.” She shrugged. “Which, by the way, plenty of people would go for.”
“I am not growing a beard.” He shook his head emphatically, still scowl-smiling. “It’d make me look more like a lumberjack than a college professor. And I know you; you’d start calling me ‘Man-Mountain Murphy’ or ‘Grizzly Adams’ or some such thing.”
“Please, you know nothing.” She flopped onto the couch, resting her feet against the coffee table. “I’d call you Paul Bunyan.”
“Besides,” he said, trying to retain control of the conversation and knowing he was failing even as he spoke, “beards itch."

Rogers stopped in mid-sentence, doing an almost comical double-take upon noticing her there as well. “Natasha? How long have you -” He sighed. “You know, I’d give you a key if you asked.”
“I know.” A smile came to her face easily. This, she could deal with. “But I have more fun surprising you.”
“I was awake for a while,” James said, “and you still hadn’t woken up. And then Natasha came over…” He trailed away and shrugged. Clearly he wasn’t going to mention that he had called her.
“So I see.” Rogers did his best to give her a sour glare, but she knew just as well as he did that his heart wasn’t in it. He really was a terrible liar. “Guess that’s one more for breakfast. How many waffles do you want, Nat?”
“Two.” She couldn’t keep the smile off her face. “One to eat and one for him to steal from me when he thinks I’m not looking.” She jerked her head at James, looking at him sidelong, and wished all over again that she could tell him.

Bookmarker's Notes
Stark growls like an angry cat, but Steve hangs up. Two seconds later, Steve hears a few bars of guitar from the living room and then AMERICA, FUCK YEAH! blares tinnily through the house. Somewhere to his left Sam spits something out and then starts laughing uncontrollably. Steve sighs and goes to his army duffle, slung under the coffee table, where it takes him two verses and a chorus to find the Starkphone he'd tossed in there after the Battle of Manhattan and basically never touched again.
"Hi," Steve says, once he's figured out how to answer the damn thing. "Is this secure?"
"If it's not, we've got way bigger problems," Stark answers. "Now, what's the dirt on My Little Murderbuddy, Friendship Is Stab Wounds that you didn't want just any old anybody to hear?"
Steve has to take a few breaths and remind himself that property damage is not the answer. At least not to expressing his feelings. At least not in Sam’s house. He breathes some more.
---------------
Natasha smiles a little. It’s what drew her to Steve in the first place, recognizing he walks the same path she does, if in a different way. “You’d think by now people would learn not to underestimate Rogers.”
“Yeah. I only ran like six missions with the guy but that was enough, y’know? I mean. You kind of only have to talk to him for ten seconds to understand Rogers will literally not be stopped by anything short of a headshot.” Clint thinks about this for a second. “Okay, yeah, if him and Terminator weren’t fucking they definitely should be. They’re the only ones who would survive each other.”
Natasha raises an eyebrow; Clint flaps a hand. “You don’t count. Also, wouldn’t super soldier fucking be some kind of hazard? I mean. I’ve seen the guy leave fingerprints in a solid lead pipe. Like, you know, heat of the moment, he gets a-thrustin’, gives you a friendly squeeze... then all of a sudden you’re getting wheeled to the ER with a bad case of dislocated asscheek.” Clint shrugs. “I’d absolutely try to fuck Rogers if I didn’t think that’d leave me with a broken pelvis, is all I’m saying.”
Natasha stares, because the solution to this problem is obvious. “Just tie him up, Clint.”
“Well, yeah, but what if he’s not into that?”
“Oh.” Natasha considers this. All of her sexual partners outside of work tend to agree to whatever she suggests and not ask any questions, which, to be fair, are the two major traits that her partner selection algorithm is based on. Not like she doesn’t know how to handle this scenario, though. “Easy. Convince him.”
Clint gives her that half-scrunched look he gets when he kind of wants to tell her That’s Not How We Play Nicely With Others but is simultaneously realizing the payoff will not be worth the effort. “Remind me to sign us up for a gender studies class later. Like, with a concentration on consent theory.”
Natasha rolls her eyes. “I know what feminism is, Clint.”
“Can’t ever hurt to know more,” Clint says cheerily. “And you like college classes. It’ll be great. We’ll pretend to be fresh young co-eds opening our eyes together to the big adult world for the very first time.”
“You’re forty-one, Clint,” Natasha points out dryly. “And I think I lost the potential to be an innocent co-ed somewhere around the age of four.”
“Aw, come on. You don’t think with the right skirt and sock combo I couldn’t pass for a perky sophomore?”
-----------------
"I thought you said you were good at boats!”
“No, I said I went kayaking once at summer camp and broke my arm going over a waterfall, and this is not a boat, Steve, it’s a little fiberglass slice of hell.”
“It’s a canoe. Or whatever’s Croatian for canoe. I heard the guy say it.”
“I don’t care if it’s Poseidon’s favorite left toenail,” Sam growls, dogpaddling in place. “How the fuck do we get back in it.”
“Weren’t you in pararescue? Didn’t you do this shit three times before breakfast and twice after lunch?”
“Aren’t you a supersoldier? Can’t your ass turn into a fish or a squid or a person who doesn’t flip us out of boats?”
“We both flipped. Out of this canoe.”
“Yeah, and now both of us are in the water, where we will stay unless we can figure out how to get back in this goddamn unspecified aquatic vehicle.”
“Point,” Steve says, also dogpaddling, his oar clenched under his arm. “Alright. We can do this. It’s all about leverage, right?”
They consider the aquatic vehicle. It’s bright yellow, sturdy plastic, and very clearly mocking them. “If I jump up on this side,” Steve says, staring it down, “and you jump up on that side, at the same time, it should balance out. Right?”
“Right,” Sam says, “On three,” and they both leap up, misjudge the distance and go sailing over opposite sides of the canoe. This time it flips upside down with them.

She just hums quietly, contentedly in reply, staying right where she is. Her breathing is calm and soft now, and her hand is brushing slowly over his shoulder, idly. Down his arm, the soft skin over the crook if it, down to his hand, fingertips caressing his palm.
He lets her touch him, fingers wandering over the back of his left hand, and he watches her trace over each of his knuckles, the scar on his middle finger from that fight when he was sixteen, and he flexes his hand under hers, stretches his fingers and laces theirs together.
