“Wagon’s full,” Ashur informed him with an innocent lift of his eyebrows.
Tarquin glanced sidelong at the grey gelding, who ripped at the grass with those huge, blunt teeth. Its tail flicked the air, skin twitching away an errant fly.

His programming begins processing how to escape the situation as Hank’s livelihood dangled on the line. Most options ended with Hank being fired because of him, and Connor could lose everything he cared about. Something like that could destroy Hank, and Connor recalls the Russian Roulette games, and something cold sinks into his system.
“Hardin, what is this?” Leo laughs softly, phone still outstretched, and Connor can see he’s loaded the images into a text to Fowler already, finger hovering over the send button. “Just wait, let’s not do anything rash here, alright?” Leo nods, but keeps the text open as a clear threat to Connor. Shit.

A new rookie at the DPD takes a particularly violent interest in Connor, and blackmails him into a non-consensual relationship. Racing against the clock, Hank will have to figure out what's wrong with Connor, while Connor has to try and stay alive.

Mordin spent most nights— correction, every— night studying them. Taking notes. Thinking up possible solutions. It was better than constantly mulling over his past. A past he only remembered pieces of. A past that no one seemed to have any record of.
Working in labs, mostly. The one on the ship, the one that he couldn’t remember the name of beyond it starting with the human letter N… that lab had been his favorite.
His omni-tool provided no answers either, as its original storage chip had been damaged to the point where no data could be retrieved and rendering the overall device useless for some time. Luckily, he had been able to construct a new one and thus got it working again.
Mordin wished he could remember more. But he couldn’t. And so, working on the Flood problem seemed to be the more productive thing to do.
If only he could make some headway.
