Summary
Prompto's insecurities take things to an all-time low, to the point where it distracts him from his highest priority: protecting Noct.
After injuring himself mid-battle, Prompto's concentration is off and Noctis gets hurt. He blames himself, and is almost certain that the rest of the party blame him for it too. However, determined to earn his friends respect, he tasks himself with doing "better", no matter what better entails.

Prompto was eager and excited because he was starved for interaction, he had to work three jobs to keep a roof over his head and was always rushing from one place to the next, and he was scruffy because he didn’t have someone at home waiting for him and fussing over little things. Prompto didn’t have anyone.

Summary
He knew that a robot could never really replace a person. They had to be updated in order to learn. Their vocabulary would always be limited to their specific purpose. As for Huggles, she didn’t retain her own warmth, and certainly didn’t need hugs for her own sake. She didn't know what ‘welcome home, Prompto!’ really meant. He just hadn’t anticipated it could be this good to be in the arms of an actual person.
When Gladio spoke, Prompto could feel the rumble in his friend’s chest. “Blondie… how…” Gladio paused, then started again. “When’s the last time you were…”
Held? Like this?
“Dunno,” Prompto mumbled. It was only slightly easier than the truth, which was that he did know, that he remembered because it was the most precious memory of his parents he had.
He had been about eight years old.// Prompto grew up one step outside of the rest of the world, so starved for interaction that he made himself a robot to give him hugs. He was certain he wouldn’t get them anywhere else. But then, he met Noctis, Ignis, and Gladio.

Prompto, in the moment that he wasn't holding her down, tried to shift back, but his hand clamped around her leg, just above her knee, and tugged her back. "Head up."
"Don't. Don't, please," she begged, skipping all attempts at dignity. One hand was protectively braced over her throat. "Ardyn, please, please-"
"You sound delectable like that," he said, curling his finger in a come here gesture. "But I'll not ask again."Series

Summary
When a picture of Noctis and Prompto kissing is leaked the two are forced to break up their relationship. Noctis is supposed to follow through on marrying Luna to ensure the peace between Lucis, Niflheim and Tenebrae and Prompto - well, Prompto falls through the cracks. He takes the brunt of the media's outrage leading to him being kicked out of home, expelled from school and landing on the streets with no home, no money and no friends.
It's a good thing that Aranea picks him up and offers him a job as a hooker, right?

Summary
Despite Ignis’ encouragement that most of his scars would fade over time, physically and mentally, Prompto just couldn’t make himself believe it. As the older beta rubbed aloe vera onto the various deeper scars littering Prompto’s freckled arms and legs, trying his best to nurse the internal wounds with soft praises and comforts, Prompto just felt ashamed.
It was a shame that nagged in the back of Prompto’s mind, as his body failed him time and time again. His legs, weak with damage, filled him with a hollow despair. His brain, suspected to have a certain amount of damage, caused him such headaches, migraines, and bouts of vertigo that all he could do was lie down in his nest and try to sleep. Not to mention his body and mind tired far too quickly to not be at least a little bit concerning. Sure, scars were one thing, but they didn’t make you lose control of your body ike this. You could cover scars, but you couldn’t cover that.
