Summary
During his search for Shroud, Robert, in a moment of weakness, has a one-night stand with a man he later realizes is none other than Flambae, the arsonist villain he fought almost three years ago. Thinking they will never meet again, Robert moves on, continuing his search for Shroud until he falls right into his trap. After months of coma, his life takes an abrupt turn when he´s recruited to work for the SDN as the dispatcher assigned to the Z-Team, a bunch of former villains who now work as heroes in order to lessen the penalties for their past crimes. It is of course there where Robert once more stands face to face with the fire-wielding man, having to navigate their shared past while trying not to get burned alive.

Summary
The smart thing would be to leave. The instincts inside Robert scream for him to get out, but somehow he stays rooted in place. He notices his own breathing coming out rougher now, as he watches Chad's chest heave with effort, smoke escaping his lips with each sharp exhale.
Go. Robert tells himself. Go. Go now.
Chad whines again, followed by a deep growl. He looks at Robert with wide eyes, barely any of the gold left in his irises. Yet Chad still looks at Robert with confusion, questioning why he hasn't moved.
Robert doesn't know why. He stares back at Chad, and somehow finds himself beginning to relax. "It's okay, Chad." He whispers. "I'm here."

Summary
For many reasons, over many situations, over many shifts Robert has had his head on his desk listening to the worst news unfold around him. Despite this: he’s stuck around. Turns out, becoming and staying a Dispatcher had been the right call. Even after the Shroud Red Ring chaos, even with the Astral Pulse, even with the rebranded suit, Robert doesn’t want to sit in the cockpit anymore. Choosing to sit at a desk instead. Turns out, he reaches and saves more people that way all along.
That is until today.
Or: Robert is placed in charge of an Office Holiday Party, and receives a surprise gift.

Summary
Shroud is dead and everything is worse now.
In the span of a few short hours Robert had lost his life's purpose, his uncle and had become a murderer. Struggling to deal with the aftermath, he puts himself in increasingly dangerous situations, trying to find absolve his crime of taking a life by sacrificing his own. As the people around Robert grow more and more worried, Chad finds himself stepping in to care for the man he once hated. The man who he had started to care for more than he realized.

Takes place a couple of months after the fall of Shroud, SDN is currently working remotely, and Robert is doing his best to pull his team together after the crazy fight. Robert, however, has to take extra care, for the fireball on the team is going through some angsty, emotional bullshit. Then again.... so is Robert. What will it take for these two to let go and communicate with each other? Loud music? Body heat? A dab of E?

Summary
Robert’s caught in an awkward love arrow, after Flambae shoves his way into his love life after one mere hookup; Flambae’s catching feelings left and right, and absolutely will not accept it; Waterboy has never had so much attention in his life and doesn’t know what to do with it all.
The rest of the Z-team is tied between oohing over the drama, and wanting the freakish triad to take their HR violations and sexual tension elsewhere.

Herman stares at him, his eyes are dazed and he’s leaning on the counter for support.

Flambae bristles and opens his mouth, but Robert talks right over him. “That being said, I realize there’s such a thing as leading by example. So for the next few minutes, I’m going to talk, and you’re going to listen.”

Robert’s back is feeling much better, and he has plans to take a certain pyrokinetic apart the way he deserves. Unfortunately, he has to impart a little lesson about communication first.

Instead of a super secret mission or something, he's supposed to give Robert dinner. A glorified fucking delivery boy. As if the grown ass man couldn't feed himself. He could eat twinkies for the rest of his life if he wanted, why was Flambae supposed to stop him from dying in his early fourties? He looks at Blazer. He blinks. Blinks again.
