Summary
Five years after dropping out of medical school amidst scandal, Hakuryuu works at his cousin Kouen's funeral home as an assisstant—a bitter echo of his former ambitions. One day he stumbles upon a corpse infested with a parasite that feeds on and controls its host. Instead of destroying it and an initial instinct to find its origins, Hakuryuu sees an opportunity for revenge on the people that took his life, and forms a pact with it.
As Judar’s hunger grows, so does Hakuryuu’s—for knowledge, for vengeance, for the violent intimacy of being known down to the bone. But when Judar behaviour becomes more and more obsessive and uncontrollable, Hakuryuu must confront the truth: he didn’t tame a monster. He created one.
