However, this time, there's a twist, 12 fans of the show, of all walks of life who have watched these 12 favorites compete, will also be competing against them. In an ultimate show to see who is better, the people who played before, or the people who think they can do what they have done previously. Who will take home the million dollar prize? Who's friendships will I destroy again? and most importantly, how many readers will I have pissed off by the end?

Getting booted second sucked, and for it to happen two seasons in a row was a massive hit to Lake emotions.
Sure, she wasn't actually eliminated and just swapped, but the hurt still lingered. She was now on a new team, and while they seemed nice...she still didn't feel all too connected to them, and she missed her friends a ton.
Safe to say, she was feeling down, so when arguably the worst girl on the island came to comfort her...well, she knew it was a manipulation attempt. But she stuck around to listen anyways, and is kinda regretting that now...somewhat. She was lucky she was cute.
(An AU where Lake was swapped instead of Aiden, and her first real dynamic is with Ara.)

This is a What-If for Disventure Camp, Season 5: Fans VS Favorites set in the universe of What If Lynda Won The Comeback Challenge. This fic will follow along that work by replacing Anastasia and Natalia. Now, instead, we have Hannah Roxas and Isabel Carboni, a Bartender and a Nun, alongside the canon returnees of Spencer and Benji, and follow the impacts their presence will have on the game.
This fic will be updated following the release of every new Disventure Camp episode of Season 5 until the finale, with diverging eliminations depending on what I consider the most likely course of events and what gives characters a decent story arc.
