Summary
A collection of drabbles, mostly from Reddit. Most (but) of them is about 100 words challenge, which is set to depict a meaningful/momentary/sweet/bitter scene of Dragon Age Thedas. Most of such scenes are not from in-game events, but connected with them one way or another. A few are directly taken from the game but depicted in another way.

Summary
The possibility of King Cailan setting Queen Anora aside to marry another seems far-fetched and unlikely. But the very rumor of it - especially after Arl Eamon goes to gauge the interest of the Cousland's - gives Loghain all the reason he needs to try to protect his daughter's claim on the throne.
Ella has no interest in marrying Cailan and is furious with Eamon for being obvious enough that Loghain has decided the best solution is to simply kill her. Forced to go into hiding to avoid assassins, Ella leaves her home and family behind to try to find a way out of the mess that has been made of her life. And things would be so much easier if she wasn't stuck with a man she hates as her personal knight.
Alistair only wanted to show Cailan that the Cousland girl wasn't worth risking a civil war over. The first time he meets her, she more than proves what an awful person she is. While he doesn't want her dead, he doesn't want her marrying his brother either. In a misguided attempt to apologize, Arl Eamon makes his knight swear to protect her from Loghain. Alistair takes his orders and his duty seriously and finds himself at the side of a woman he can't stand.

Summary
While visiting Denerim, Arl Leonas Bryland of Southreach runs into Arl Rendon Howe at The Gnawed Noble Tavern. Over thin, watered-down ale, the two old brothers-in-arms exchange bitter complaints about their troublesome children and political frustrations. Yet beneath the cynical banter, a quiet, melancholic envy surfaces as they look upon the seemingly perfect life of their fellow wartime friend, Bryce Cousland.
A reflective character study exploring the unspoken gaps left by the passage of time, and the heavy burden of living in the shadow of those who have it all.

Summary
An open letter to Arl Rendon Howe regarding his logistics, his ambitions, and his absolute lack of foresight.
My Lord, why slaughter the Couslands when you could have simply married Lady Cousland? It makes perfect financial sense. It avoids political backlash. And honestly, your canon reactions to her prove you didn't even want to kill her anyway. Whether you want to wipe out her name (by changing it to Howe) or save on labor costs by firing Seneschal Varel, marriage is the strictly superior choice.
(The original text, written in Japanese, has been translated by the author. A passionate, borderline unhinged meta-rant about why Howe/Cousland should have been canon.)

Summary
Time will tell how we are remembered for our actions in the Blight, of few things I am certain but that is one.
I believe us to have been heroes, but I am sure many others would disagree, they deem us demons in our own right even now.
But we did what we could, saved everyone we could, fought bravely and did our duties.
If or not we are heroes will be decided when they write their own versions of this tale, but I hope in some small way my account will color us in some way truthfully, if not favorably.I seek only to tell the truth of the story of how the Grey Wardens of Ferelden acted in the Blight, this account, this story, is that truth to the best of my abilities.
Within is a story of danger, tragedy, betrayal, romance, joy and sorrow. It is a true story, my story, my sister's. From the fall of Castle Cousland to the defeat of the Archdemon, this is the true story of the Fifth Blight.--
A Dragon Age: Origins novelization featuring my canon Warden and my Dragon Age OC Warden Athras.
Written as I replay the game.

Summary
Brother Genitivi's writings on the Fifth Blight remain scrutinized by his own personal involvement, or alleged personal involvement, but the story of the Fifth Blight must be compiled and studied for Ages to come. All in Thedas felt the shaking of the very heavens when Larkin Cousland, the Hero of Ferelden, struck his sword into Urthemiel's neck, and perished. In this compendium, letters, journals, and personal accounts from the young Cousland's compatriots will be published in this first volume of our study.

Summary
The new version of my Origins AU novel
What if the second Cousland child was more involved in the life of Cailan? What if King Maric gave her a task from a very young age?
Cirilla Cousland was born to be the shadow of Fereldan's throne. The left hand of the young prince. When he took the throne Cailan released her from her service, and let her finally experience life on her own terms. But now with darkspawn flooding the Kocari wilds, Ciri's peaceful life is destroyed and she is forced to take up arms to save her home.
This is the Ballad of Fereldan's Greatest Queen.

Summary
A novelization of my favorite playthrough with many liberties taken with the source material. This is my first posted work so be gentle :).
The youngest Cousland child had an ulterior function to fill within the Kings court, a protector of the prince that none would suspect. Enemies would evade guards and soldiers, even other noble and royal men. But who would suspect a young Teyrna withing the young prince's inner circle of being a threat to all who wished the boy harm? The Divine traditionally had a left hand, why not the heir to the Ferelden throne. Cirilla Cousland was once the shadow of Ferelden's throne until she was released from her service three years ago. Now a blight threatens the wilds of Ferelden's south.

Summary
The smoke beat down hard unto Castle Cousland. Fire around every third corner, Howe's men anywhere else. Screams of any kind shot through the halls, then being silenced by blades or arrows, the drawing of blood.
Castle Cousland was under attack, and Valerie had limited time to get out.

Was true love warm and comforting instead of cold disappointment and never-ending anxiety?
"Must be…" Abigail mumbled to herself, "I wish Alistair had felt like this." She held her hands up to the milky black sky, the stars illuminating past dreams and wishes of hers. The warden could barely see past her hands in the dark, despite the fire snapping and crackling consistently. That ever mechanical flame, flickering in and out of reality, always brought her comfort.
Shout out to my friends on Discord for giving me these ideas for my beloved Abigail Cousland. Diane Cousland and Thace Mahariel do not belong to me.

Dragon Age oneshots that take place in the Dragon Age Origins timeline...sort of.
Most of these are just fics about my character, who takes the place of the Male Cousland in the game. Most of them are moments from his childhood, or just moments I elaborated on from the ttrpg version of DAO :)
There are mentions of other characters from the game as well as characters made by my dear friends <3
I just have written so much for these characters that I wanted a chance to share some of the stuff I've been working on.
This work has somewhat spoilers for Dragon Age: Origins, but again, it's not all entirely lore/game accurate.

The Couslands are second only to the King, so Celia has been told. The Couslands hold their duty before all else, so Celia has been drilled. The Couslands and the Howes have incredibly deep ties, no one else truly knows how deep but Celia.
This fic takes place before and during Dragon Age: Origins. It builds on the motivations and machinations of Arl Rendon Howe, and his involvement with Teryn Couslands youngest daughter.

Summary
A Dragon Age Origins Awakening AU where Ser Roland Gilmore (Rory) is alive and married to my Warden Briala Cousland after fighting alongside her during the fifth blight. This story is based off the content from the Ser Gilmore NPC mod for Awakenings. (I’m sticking with Rory as his nickname, so please don’t come for me that just what it says in the mod).
Nathaniel has always had a soft spot for the Cousland girl. Even during their brief time together when his father brought him to Highever castle before he was sent off to squire in the Free Marches. But Briala, now a hero of the fifth blight and Warden Commander of Ferelden's Grey Wardens, is married to her now fellow Grey Warden, Roland Gilmore. But what happens when Nathaniel's feelings for Briala get in the way? Will the pair indulge him, or is there something more at play to this game?
