John Watson has left Baker Street.
After everything that happened, he simply couldn’t stay.
Not in that flat. Not with Sherlock Holmes. Not with the weight of Mary’s death pressing against the walls.He thought distance might help him breathe. Help him start over.
But resentment doesn’t fade so easily, and reason, the part of him that whispers maybe it wasn’t all Sherlock’s fault, barely cuts through the grief.
Trying to protect what’s left of his family, John draws a line. He throws himself into fatherhood, clinging to Rosie like the last steady thing in a storm.

The vacant stare and that gaping mouth Sherlock gets in response beg for comment.
“Oh, John.” Sherlock tilts his head, a nervous, entirely wrong smile distorting his features. “Your deductive skills were never great, but a couple of years ago, you’d have figured it out right away. Have you really deteriorated this much in my absence?”

Sherlock and John hadn't seen each other since Secondary School and parted ways. 20 years later John has become a Captian and an accomplished Doctor in the Queens Army and Sherlock a successful Consulting Detective with Scotland Yard. The only thing is they each have large families. When they meet up again it's like the 20 years hasn't happened and they decide to pick up right where they left off taking both their large families with them, but with two very different family dynamics will their children be able to take to the change so easily?
"Yours, Mine, and Ours" Inspired. This popped into my head and I'm really hoping this goes over well I haven't written anything in a long time and I'm kind of proud of this. This story won't follow the movie exactly but the base of the movie I stole.
